CHAPTER 9

LISA'S POV

"Klaus," Jonas grinds out, disdain evident in his voice. "Why are you here?"

The name sends a shiver down my spine. I shook my head trying to wake up from my daydream. There was no way it could be him, maybe I had heard wrong.

I could hear the metal door groaning as it widened. Sharp clicks sound against the floor as the visitors enter, his scent immediately wafting through the door where I hid. He was a powerful wolf, I could smell it from here.

"Jonas." The voice booms around the house. Cold. Calculating. Sinister. He was a dangerous man and not one to be messed with and it was evident in his voice.

"You know why I'm here. Only one thing could have brought me this low."

"Will you answer my question or do you want me to throw you out of my house? You've got limited time here, Klaus."
