CHAPTER 24— I'M SORRY
Celeste cried silently as he drove, back turned to him and face shielded away by her hands. She hated him, she hated him so much. If so, why was it that his words still hurt her then?
Why was it that back at the hospital she couldn't stop wishing he'd come?
And why was it that when she finally saw his face, relief had washed her thoroughly?
She still loved him, didn't she?
