Nyx pov
I slowly opened my eyes as thick scent of wolves, fill up nostrils giving me the urge to vomit.
The scent was Strong
Overpowering.
And Suffocating.
The weight of my duty as a Vampire princess was almost as heavy as the realization of where I was, i was deep in the heart of the enemies territory.
The crimson's pack, packhouse.
His packhouse.
Raiden Blackwood
The name alone stirs up something in me. Anger.
Defiance.
And A dangerous thrill.
I sat up, immediately. And wiped my eyes with my eyes shaking of sleep., remembering the reason I am here.
my body was full of tension as I remembered what happened yesterday.
"It wasn't a dream was it?" I questioned no one, as I looked around the alphas chambers, everything in the room was black, from the king size bed I am on to the walls and paintings of a black wolf with golden eyes.
I wonder if that's him.
Just looking at the painting of the wolf made me angry, I just wished the wolf will appear her so I can tear it apart.
"Now that will be so peaceful" I said to my self as I smiled at the thought of killing a wolf, that's one less enemy.
I slowly came down from the bed and glanced around the room again, no one was here, it was only me.
I didn't know if Raiden slept here yesterday, after he threatened me, I just casually walked to bed and lay down trying to anger him.
But I didn't realize when I fell asleep.
But seeing he didn't harm me even though I was fast asleep only confirmed my hunch that he also wants us to attack first.
So he can get the elders permission to wipe us away.
I was bare foot, the wooden floor was cold.
Just perfect.
The chamber was big, very big.
but eerily empty.
The fireplace was casting shadows across the black stone walls.
There were Heavy furs all over the furnitures.
the scent of wolf musk was everywhere even on the surface.
Disgust curled in my throat.
but I swallowed it down.
I had bigger battles to fight.
I looked at the large mirror in front of me, but I couldn't see myself in it, I am a vampire and we don't see our reflection in the mirror.
"So called peace" I murmured
Before I walked to the door, I gently place my hand on the door knob and press it expecting to find it lock...
But
The door wasn’t locked, I raised an eyebrow in confusion.
Its this some sort of test?
Or challenge?
Or Raiden simply just don't see me as a threat?
"And that will be the first mistake he makes" I said to myself as I stepped out of the room.
I stepped into the hallway, and slowly started walking down the hallway to the stairs,my movements were silent.
The air was thick with tension,
And before I even saw them....
I felt them.
The pack Were watching
Waiting like predators
And Judging.
Their whispers followed me like a shadow.
"She doesn’t belong here."
"She’ll never be one of us."
"Raiden has , brought a parasite into our home.
A slow smirk curved my lips as I hear all the whispers.
Oh, how I loved the taste of fear.
I don't belong here and I don't want too, and soon enough I will go back my people and we will wipe away the werewolf clan just like how the demons have been wiped away by both of us.
I turned my head a litte, catching the glimpse of a young she-wolf at the end of the stairs, she had a long black hair with black eyes but she looked exactly like Raiden. She stiffened a little under my gaze.
But I just ignore her and slowly started walking down the stairs.
I could feel the piercing gazes, boring a hole through my skull, but I continued walking ignoring the burning stares.
my senses were sharp as I searched for him, and also try to study the place.
The first step of planning an attack is,studying your enemies territory..
And i also have to dig up their secrets, study their weakness, find the map of their territories and the moon light sword.
The moon light sword is the most powerful weapon the werewolves have, and as long as we have it we can surely wipe them out.
The vampires also have their magic weapon, the ancient blood ring, my mom the queen is the one in charge of keeping it save.
So i am sure here also the alpha is in charge of keeping the moon light sword, so getting close to him and winning his trust would be one of the ways to get the location of the sword.
But getting his trust certainly won't be easy, he is smarter than I thought.
My mother is waiting to hear from me, so I also have to find a way to be sending them messages on the progress of finding the sword.
The sound of Swords clashing filled the air and deep grunts echoed from outside.
I looked at the door leading outside with curiosity filled in my eye
Is there a fight going on?
I walked to the door and stepped through the heavy wooden doors leading to the courtyard.
I was greeted by the sight of wolves locked in combat.
Blood.
Sweat.
Strength.
I looked around amazed by how hard there are training to wipe us away And my eyes landed on Raiden.
He was standing at the other end glaring at me, he was shirtless, Bare chest, his muscles coiled like a predator waiting to attack and he looked at me like he just found The prey.
he walked pass his warriors with no efforts.
A swipe of his claws sent one opponent to the ground.
And A sharp kick took down another.
It was quite obvious he was ruthless, Precise and Dominant.
I knew he sensed me the moment I arrived, he wanted to show me how powerful he was, probably to scare me.
His head suddenly snapped in my direction, his golden eyes locking onto mine with pure, hatred and anger.
The murmurs around us grew louder.
"What is she doing here?"
"She shouldn’t be allowed to watch."
"The alpha won’t tolerate her disrespect."
I was still just looking at Raiden
Raiden’s gaze darkened as he walked toward me.
his sweaty chest rising and falling. It wad quitw obvous the Alpha was not pleased.
“Enjoying the view, little vampire?” His deep voice came, sending a shiver down my spine as I looked away from his chest and met his gaze.
I tilted my head, a little trying to act like I wasn't actually staring. “I was just wondering if your fight was all for show, or if you actually knew how to fight.” I said daringly.
The once noisy place went quite as all the wolfs looked at me with surprise filled in wthir eyes.
The challenge in my words was clear.
Raiden wiped away some drop of blood from his knuckles, as his lips curved into a smirk, his eyes immediately changed color into something dangerous.
I know he is angry but he is keeping his expression cool, he doesn't want me to think I am winning.
“You think I need to prove myself to you?” he questioned
I took a slow step forward, as i brought out ny fangs there were just barely pressing against my lower lip.
"You don't have to Alpha" I said,
“I think you need to prove yourself to them,” I murmured, as I turned my gaze toward his pack members.
A low growl rumbled deep in his chest. “You like playing with fire, don’t you little vampire?”
I smirked, before I replied “Only when I know I won’t get burned Alpha".
The Alpha’s golden eyes, was much darker than usual.
I continued staring into them trying to read through it but I just couldn't.
Then, without warning, he turned his gaze to his warriors and spoke, his voice echoed across the courtyard.
“If my bride wants proof of strength, let’s give her a show Warriors" he said.
The crowd cheered as all the wolfs looked at me like a prey.
I am the prey.
And then, Raiden looked at a man standing close to him sand said
“Fight her.”.........
Nyx POVThe silence in the Elders’ chamber was starting to get suffocating, the high ceilings in the chamber felt like judgment itself. Including the Silver torches that lined the walls, and the flames looked like there were flickering with restrained fury. And across the obsidian chamber floor, Raiden stood. He looked like war wrapped in royal skin.Tall. Still. And his presence enough commanding. But his golden eyes... when they met mine, I felt something shift, I saw something in his eyes for only a second. It wasn’t rage.It wasn’t desire. It was something colder.Something wounded....And yet, I didn’t flinch.I walked forward beside my mother, our crimson cloaks trailing behind us like blood spilled in on the obsidian chamber floor, with selene walking right behind us.Elder Vaughn cleared his throat. “Queen Ilaria and Princess Nyx. You have arrived unannounced, to what do we owe this visit?”he questioned.“We are here with a purpose, vaughn” my mother said, her voice like ice
Raiden POVI should’ve burned their palace to the ground. When I pulled that vampire fang from my warrior’s corpse, every instinct in me screamed for vengeance. Not strategy. Not patience. But Blood.Just blood. My people were dying. My wolves were being hunted. And Nyx,She is Gone. Silent. She Vanished like smoke. My bride. My enemy. The one woman who thought she could outsmart me.The one woman I let my Guard down when I an with. And now her clan had left me with corpses, the corpses of my warriors.I stood alone in the war chamber, clawing through rage and reason. But I knew if I struck first, if I so much as laid a finger on her borders....The Elders would crush me under the weight of the treaty.Paint me as the aggressor. The villain. So I did the one thing I hated most.I was never patient, but this time I had to be.I waited. And then I acted."Prepare the warriors!," I commanded dorian "we are leaving for the elders council"."Okay Alpha" dorian answered before he left.I
Nyx POV“The wolves were the first to spill the blood of our own” my mother said, pacing around like a storm wrapped in skin. “And if we don’t answer it this, we show weakness.”I stood still in the Queen’s war chamber, my jaw clenched, My heart pounding harder than I wanted to admit.A wolf claw.In a vampire’s chest. And Raiden’s scent still burned in my lungs.“I want them punished,” Mother snapped. “I want their Alpha on his knees. And I want his head if he dares lie to my face.”I didn’t flinch. “We can’t attack mother, Not yet.”She stopped pacing and narrowed her eyes at me. “You are defending them now?”“No,” I said carefully. “I’m protecting us. You know the Elders are watching both clans. If we move first, if we strike without their blessing, we’ll be the ones who broke the treaty.”My mother’s lips curled in disgust. “Then what do you suggest? We sit here and let them kill us in silence?”“No,” I said softly. “We take it to the Elders. Let them decide who started this war.”
Nyx POVThe doors slammed shut behind me as I stepped into my mother’s chamber, sending chills down my spine. The room was darker than usual. No candles, no fire. Just rays of moonlight filtering through the stained glass, casting blood-red shadows across the room floor.I looked around and she sat at the far end of the room, her back straight, her long fingers draped elegantly over the arm of her obsidian throne.Queen Ilaria of the Crimson Crescent. My mother. And the one woman I could never lie to… unless I lied perfectly.“Nyx,” she said without looking at me. “Finally you are here daughter”I moved toward her,my steps slow but steady. “You sent for me mother and I came.”“i thought you wouldn't come,” she said flatly. “You have embedded yourself in the wolf den, you slept beside their Alpha, and now two of our people were taken, and later we found they bodies in the western wood."I flinched a little, but not from guilt. But from the coldness in her voice.Even for her, this was s
Raiden POVI felt it before the guards confirmed it.The stillness, the subtle absence of something I wasn’t supposed to notice. Her scent was goneAnd The bond wasn't pulling at me anymore.Nyx was gone. With no word.No message. Not even a damn goodbye.Just the fading echo of her scent in the hall.I walked through the corridors like a storm wrapped in skin, every step I took felt heavier than the last. The guards dropped their gazes as I passed. They knew better than to speak.I reached her chamber and threw the door open, but it wasEmpty.Neat.Too neat. This time she hadn’t just stepped out for air, she was really gone, her cloak that was usually on the chair near the fireplace was missing. I looked around the room and her enchanted daggers were also gone, the fire was cold. The bed untouched. She had left in the night.Without telling me.Without leaving a message. And gods help meI cared.Where did she go? Is she alright? Did she ran away? Did she go back to her clan? Is she
Nyx POVThe gates groaned open at the sound of my voice there were no guards, no greetings.Just silence, you know that type of silence that came before the storm or after it.I walked into the palace and even the torches lining the entrance flickered nervously, as if they didn’t want to burn too loud, as of they didn't want to be noticed. And the halls were colder than usually, colder than I remembered, the Stone floors I once danced on now echoed like tombs. And the scent of magic was thick in the air it was sharp, old and defensive.Something had happened here.Something big.I didn’t call out for anyone, I Didn’t ask for anyone.Cause If Mother wanted me back, she did make it herself known to everyone I am coming back. And she did.Cause Just as I reached the grand atrium, I heard it, that voice I would recognize in the middle of millions.“Late as ever, princess.”I turned, immediately the voice cameAnd there she was.Selene.Standing in her might. With Same dark violet hair, bu
