New moon.
This will be the night where Petal initiated the ritual that broke Lucas’s curse. Petal had hoped that their attempt will succeed on the first try.
A night of a new moon, the completion of a cycle, or the beginning of a new phase, the symbolism of new beginnings. Apart from a full moon, conducting a ritual on a new moon is considered a perfect timing as well.
When Petal got off work, she instantly sprinted back home because there was a lot of preparation that needed to be done before the start of the ritual.
Ace arrived at the Roserade’s apartment witnessing chaos. He had to do a double-take before he moved closer to see what was going on.
Petal laid flat on the floor holding a white chalk in one hand while the other hand is holding a protractor. She used that math tool to measure something, then continue to draw on the floor.

With Petal’s own magic, the rune circle beneath them as well as the new moon buff; everything was going well at her end...for now. But, that wasn’t the case for Lucas. At first, Petal’s magic managed to soothe the chaos within his body. However, when Petal started to combat the dark energy. A war began within him. Even with the protection crystals, he could clearly sense whatever that was going on in his body. Even though the protection crystals guarded his well-being, he still felt exceptionally uncomfortable. By the sideline, Camron and Ace watched everything in motion with concern. The curse mark on Lucas suddenly crackled with black energy, enveloping Lucas in a black cocoon. The crystals Lucas wore around his neck took effect and surrounded Lucas in a barrier, preventing the black energy to infiltrate him. Petal narrowed her eyes, golden flecks flickered in her forest-green eyes. She twirled her wand, a soft pink glow emitted from the rose quartz crystal. Camron and Ace wat
“The curse mark is more complicated than what I expected, I’m sorry that I didn’t…” Petal continued to apologize when Ace stopped her.“You did what you can,” Ace said, stopping her from continuing with the apologies.“Even though I’m not able to fully break the curse, I purify the dark energy within him… Wait, where’s the protection crystals necklace?” Petal asked.“The crystals were cracked,” Camron said, showing Petal the necklace that Lucas wore during the ritual.Brows furrowed, Petal said, “we wouldn’t be able to use this anymore.”Facing Ace and Lucas, Petal continues, “the curse is not lifted, however, I managed to take care of the black energy that is flowing through Lucas’s body.”“I did feel much better now, my mind wasn&r
“The crown clear quartz, going once, going twice. Sold! Sold to number 88!”Yes, number 88 is Petal’s number.Petal took out her red marker and circled the quartz on the catalog page. Heaving out a sigh, Petal felt relieved that everything went well. She was concerned that someone might be stalking her or coming after her because of the ritual she performed in order to break the curse.Whoever cast that curse on Lucas might realize that someone attempted to break the curse.Another down, all that was left was the black obsidian.Whenever an item is sold, someone will bring the card machine over and Petal will trembly swipe Ace’s card.People can say that she’s a country bumpkin or whatever, but she still cannot get used to the large amount she spent (even though it wasn’t her own money) in such a short
The Rune Black Obsidian was what Petal needed. It wasn’t any normal crystal, it may looked like a normal round pendant, but it actually had many protection and purifying rune spells on it, all the spells were carved by high-level wizard.Hence, apart from the blinding pink necklace, this was the second most-wanted item on the auction.Petal knew that there will be many competitions, well, that was what she initially thought until she realized that, the only people that was bidding on the crystal pendant was her and one other guy that was sitting a couple of rows before her. When Petal raised her number plate once again, she instantly felt odd. People were whispering and stealing glances at her, the only person bidding for the crystal turned around and sent her a glare. She did not recognized the person at all, he was wearing a cap and also his face was covered by a mask. The only thing she could see was that his eyes were like the clear blue sea.No matter what she needed the pendant.
“Petal, you should really go home and rest. You have been working so hard for the past couple of days, I’m really worried about you.”Hearing that soothing gentle voice, Petal didn’t even need to look over her shoulder, she knew who that was right away.It was Jaidyn. Her boss and also the owner of ‘Blooming Flower Shop’. Jaidyn was like a big brother to her ever since she came to Hilton City with her younger brother-Camron.Petal nodded absent-mindedly as a respond because she was focusing intently on what she had on hand.‘Everything Potions’ was the online store she open. Petal was a white witch that specialized in making potions. Her potions came in various forms; perfumes, sprays, candles, charms etc.Grabbing a handful of freshly pick rose petals and threw them into the small cauldron pot, Petal twirled her rose quartz crystal
It was night, the stars spread out like a blanket across the sky. The streets were empty, with only the glint of a streetlight standing there in loneliness. The light shone into an alleyway where someone was leaning against the brick wall, the person wore a coat that blended in with the red brick wall. Her cap was pulled low on her brow, half her face covered by a huge and obviously fake moustache glasses. Head lifting up upon hearing the clicking sound of the heels; the person saw a woman with lusciously long curls in a tight red dress showing every curves of her hourglass body, her long slim legs look straighter in a pair of gold high heels. When their gazes met, the woman raised a brow and sashayed her way towards the person in reddish brown coat. Her perfectly manicured hand smoothed her locks as she glanced up with her curly lashes: “Did you bring them?” The person nodded, pulling out a barbie pink paper bag with a huge cartoony bubble font that says ‘Thank You’ on it. The
The man nodded and followed her inside, leaving behind a trail of coffee stained pavement.Ace Hudson watched as the woman who reminds him of his cousin’s hamster scurried to led him to the back. His eyes roamed the interior of the warmly decorated store. The scent of blooming flowers and potting soil drifted toward him; the shop smelled like a garden, sweet and full of life. The wall was painted in warm earth tones, with sunlight streaming through the windows, reflected off ceramic pots full of plants.A row of roses in a dazzling array of colors decorated the walls; one was white, another pink, another yellow, and so on. The sight took him back to his childhood, when he had played under rose bushes with his cousin at their garden back in the old family mansion. There were roses everywhere in their yard then.“It’s still a little early before the shop is open,” Petal explaine
“Camron’s numbers are slightly elevated. The suppressant you’ve been taking don’t seem to be doing that well.” The doctor said.“There’s a new suppressant that just came out not too long ago, I have patients who have reacted well to it,” the doctor said, “but it isn’t covered by insurance, and the cost is…”“How much is it?” Camron asked.“It’s…rather expensive,” the doctor said.Camron thought back to what the doctor said earlier at the appointment and felt a heavy weight on his heart. It was a pretty day. The bright sun glinted off of all the windows making the city sparkle, and a light breeze stirred the tress just for fun.Camron enjoyed the way the sunlight broke through the thick canopy of leaves overhead, making little rainbows that danced acro
