It was night, the stars spread out like a blanket across the sky.
The streets were empty, with only the glint of a streetlight standing there in loneliness.
The light shone into an alleyway where someone was leaning against the brick wall, the person wore a coat that blended in with the red brick wall. Her cap was pulled low on her brow, half her face covered by a huge and obviously fake moustache glasses.
Head lifting up upon hearing the clicking sound of the heels; the person saw a woman with lusciously long curls in a tight red dress showing every curves of her hourglass body, her long slim legs look straighter in a pair of gold high heels.
When their gazes met, the woman raised a brow and sashayed her way towards the person in reddish brown coat.
Her perfectly manicured hand smoothed her locks as she glanced up with her curly lashes: “Did you bring them?”
The person nodded, pulling out a barbie pink paper bag with a huge cartoony bubble font that says ‘Thank You’ on it.
The woman in sequined red dress reached out for the bag. But, the person pulled away, hands doing a money gesture.
“Do you want to pay with cash, card or ewallet?”
The person with the obvious fake moustache that made the woman twitched her eyebrows pulled out a card machine and a board with ewallet QR codes printed on them.
Eyes twitching, the woman pulled out her cellphone decorated with blinding rhinestones to scan and make payments.
After the transaction, the person beamed at her: “Thank you so much for your purchase, please shop with us again~”
Listening to her singsong voice, the woman stuffed the perfume bottle with pink glittery liquid swirling in it back into the hideous (that’s what she think) paper bag and her lips curled up into an alluring smile that made the heart of the person in coat skip a beat.
“Next time you should try another getup, the fake moustache is really unappealing. Bye, little girl.”
Huh?
~
The next morning Petal Roserade couldn’t help but thought about what her customer said regarding her fake moustache glasses.
“Is it really that obvious?” Petal grabbed the fake moustache and put it back on. Blinking, she looked at her reflection on the mirror left and right.
The mirror reflected a girl with big, round dark green eyes with flecks of lighter shades green flickering in her eyes like forest gems. Her skin flawless and her plump cheeks is dusted with coral pink.
Taking off the moustache glasses that makes her looked like a weird cartoon character, Petal sighed, her eyes drooping slightly as fatigue washed over her. She turned on the tap and cupped her hands to catch the water that flowed out from the tap.
The cold water felt refreshing against her skin. She splashed herself a few more times and then ran her hands through her earthy brown locks. The water refreshed her, at least slightly.
Stepping out from the bathroom, Petal caught the tasty aroma of freshly made pancakes in the air and made her way over to the dining table.
“Sis, you’re awake? Breakfast is ready and I also made you a lunchbox for work.”
A tall, slim, guy with the face of an innocent angel smiled at her. His hair a different shade of brown from Petal’s, his was a golden shade of brown like wheat, smooth and silky. His wide eyes sparkle with delight, and his toothy grin as bright and true as the summer sunlight.
Seeing her younger brother wearing an adorable apron decorated with cute paw prints, holding a huge stacks of pancakes, flashing her a sweet, angelic smile.
Petal felt her heart melted.
“Aww, my sweet Camron. Thank you~” Petal went over and hug Camron tightly.
“Sis, sis. Ca-cannot breathe,” Camron yelped, his face turning blue while carefully balancing the plate of pancakes.
Petal instantly let go, “Sorry about that.”
Standing on tip-toe, she ruffled Camron’s hair before she sat down to gobble up her breakfast.
“Sis, you look tired. Is work hectic?” Camron said, looking worried at the dark circles underneath Petal’s round eyes.
Swallowing her food, Petal spread a huge smile and ruffled Camron fluffy hair: “All working adults are tired. There’s nothing coffee couldn’t fix, if there is, you just need two coffees.”
Camron chuckled at this, Petal swore she could see the flowers blooming around Camron and she’s almost blinded by the sparkles surrounding her younger brother.
Looking at the time, Petal’s eyes went wide and chugged down her mug of coffee: “I’m running late. Camron, good luck with university and don’t forget to take your prescription!”
“You too, good luck with work and have a great day! Tell Jaidyn and Ronin I said hi.”
Petal looked over her shoulder and smiled, waving her brother goodbye.
When she’s on the subway, she checked her cellphone and logged into her online shop ‘Everything Potions’ to see if there’s any new orders.
Her mind going through the month’s expenses, bills needing to pay, rent etc. The prescription the doctor suggested Camron to take. Things were difficult for Omega siblings that’s on their own even though she’s a witch.
Petal Roserade is an omega witch.
This is an ABO world with supernatural beings hidden among humans. Petal, a witch that was good in making potions and specialized in white magic. She inherited her witch’s magic from her mother, unfortunately white magic was seen as something shameful within her mother’s coven who was proud in the proficiency of black magic.
After the death of her mother, Petal and Camron escaped from their abusive stepfather. Since then, they moved to another city and lived together.
Camron did not possessed any magic which was probably because in their bloodline, witches magic usually inherited by females. What concerned Petal the most was Camron being an omega, she’s also an omega but her symptoms isn’t strong.
She rarely got heats and her pheromones were so faint that sometimes she suspected that she might be a beta, however, her medical chart said otherwise.
Camron, however, his heat was irregular and the suppressants did not work that well on him. The doctor suggested him to try a different prescription that may worked better, but the cost was high and they usually were not covered by his insurance.
That was why Petal worked hard on her online store, coming up with new products, doing sales etc. Her full time job at the flower shop just doesn’t cut it.
‘Everything Potions’ was the store she opened in Hidden Magic Market. It was an online platform that recently open to all supernatural beings that gained a lot of popularity. It came just in time when Petal needed to get in some more income.
Working at the flower shop really helped her in terms of getting ingredients as the potions and other products she created mostly relied on flowers.
Looking through the new orders that came in, Petal made a list of what flowers to stock up. It will be yet another busy day for Petal.
~
Petal did not saw that coming when she headed to the store.
Humming to her favorite tune, Petal smiled as she looked at the double shot latte in her hand. She took a deep breath, savoring the smell of freshly brewed coffee.
However, before she could enjoy her morning dose of wake up call.
“You jerk!”
Someone swept in with the speed of lightning, and by the next second, her coffee was sent flying in the air, making a perfect rainbow curved and splashed down at a man, coloring his shirt in splotches of brown.
Petal watched everything with her eyes wide in shock as the woman in luscious blonde locks gave her back the empty coffee paper cup and dashed away, leaving only the scent of her perfume in the air and the man that stood there drenched in coffee.
Petal stood there awkwardly and contemplated what to do.
Her eyes wandered off to the man, she did not realized how good looking he was until now.
He had fair skin that glowed like a softly lit lamp. His dark hair was a clean-cut medium fade, his jawline seemed chiseled, and his eyes were like a pair of icy clear crystals. The man’s shoulders were broad, and his chest was well-developed.
His white button-up shirt and black coat were soaked in coffee, when Petal went a little closer to the man, she could smelled his expensive cologne mixed together with the scent coffee and sugar.
Seeing his hair became sticky due to her latte, Petal said: “Do you want to come in?”
She said, pointing to the flower shop that was right next to them.
The man nodded and followed her inside, leaving behind a trail of coffee stained pavement.Ace Hudson watched as the woman who reminds him of his cousin’s hamster scurried to led him to the back. His eyes roamed the interior of the warmly decorated store. The scent of blooming flowers and potting soil drifted toward him; the shop smelled like a garden, sweet and full of life. The wall was painted in warm earth tones, with sunlight streaming through the windows, reflected off ceramic pots full of plants.A row of roses in a dazzling array of colors decorated the walls; one was white, another pink, another yellow, and so on. The sight took him back to his childhood, when he had played under rose bushes with his cousin at their garden back in the old family mansion. There were roses everywhere in their yard then.“It’s still a little early before the shop is open,” Petal explaine
“Camron’s numbers are slightly elevated. The suppressant you’ve been taking don’t seem to be doing that well.” The doctor said.“There’s a new suppressant that just came out not too long ago, I have patients who have reacted well to it,” the doctor said, “but it isn’t covered by insurance, and the cost is…”“How much is it?” Camron asked.“It’s…rather expensive,” the doctor said.Camron thought back to what the doctor said earlier at the appointment and felt a heavy weight on his heart. It was a pretty day. The bright sun glinted off of all the windows making the city sparkle, and a light breeze stirred the tress just for fun.Camron enjoyed the way the sunlight broke through the thick canopy of leaves overhead, making little rainbows that danced acro
‘That was too close! It was dangerous!’ Camron thought as he scrambled to collect his things from the floor.Lucas was being pushed away as Camron got onto his feet and started dashing away, looking like he was almost attacked by Lucas.Lucas could only stare with widened eyes when Camron sent him a glare earlier.Camron was long gone, but Lucas was on the ground absent-mindedly staring at the direction where Camron ran off to.His foggy mind started to clear off, that was when he realized, something popped up in his head out of nowhere.‘Does our campus have someone so strikingly beautiful? Like an angel sent down from heaven…’‘Wait… what on earth am I thinking?’‘But, he really looked like a delicate flower.’All sorts of thoughts ran through Lucas&rsquo
Ace put his payment on the table and rushed out of the bar in a hurry. You have to be okay, Lucas.~Camron shook his head and slapped his own cheek, attempting to clear his foggy mind.‘Ugh… seriously shouldn’t go to that drinking party with them,’ Camron thought, trying to find the apartment key in his bag.He just had one drink and he felt as though he is drunk. That was when he heard a faint whimpering sound. Camron flinched, just like Petal, Camron had a habit of being curious too.Slowly moving towards the sound, Camron found himself at the backstreet. He gulped when he saw how dark the alley is and it wasn’t even that late, but he was all alone.Listening intently to the soft sounds, Camron moved towards a pile of cardboard boxes. As soon as
Seeing Camron like that, Lucas couldn’t help but move closer to Camron, putting a paw on him.Camron smiled, taking Lucas’s paw in his hand.“Are you worried about me? Don’t worry…” Camron said, looking towards the door.He knew that his sister only wanted the best for him and also to not worry him. But, she always shouldered everything on her own as if she is doing this by herself. He is also family, he wanted to help.“Sometimes I just wish that my sister will rely on me more instead of…”Lucas just stayed there with his paw in Camron’s hand for a long moment until Camron broke his train of thought and have his emotions tidied. He petted Lucas, putting his gentle smile back on his face, “I need to go to class, stay at home, and rest so that you will get better.”&
Ace’s eyes soften, a dashing smile spread across his face, “and I…”Stunned by his charming looks, Petal blinked, feeling faint blush dusted her cheeks. She snapped back to reality and quickly shoved the notebook to Ace.“Y-you choose from there and I’ll write it down,” Petal said, lowering her head to hide the red on her cheeks as she rummaged for a card and pen.“How about this one?” Ace smirked, holding the notebook up with one hand, and pointed to one of the quotes.“Which one?” Petal was right across the counter and couldn’t see all the clear, so she leaned on the counter and peered at the notebook.“When I’m with you, my days feel brighter, you’re perfect to me-I love you," Ace recited the line, slightly shifting his body around the counter and close to Petal.Pet
“Bun Bun!”Before Lucas could damagedo anything in Petal’s studio, Camron came back just in time to drag him out of there. When they’re out inthe living room, Camron kneeled down on the floor putting on a stern face, but Lucas just found it to be adorable.“Bun Bun, you can’t go in there,” Camron said, making a cross sign with his arm, “that’s where Petal works, if the products are damaged she couldn’t sell them and we’ll go hungry.”Camron went over to the work studio, pointing at the room, and made the cross sign, “Work studio, no no!”Then, he ran back to the living room, “living room, yes.”“Do you understand what I’m saying?” Camron asked.Lucas nodded and re
“Jaidyn, I will be staying late tonight. I need to work on some orders,” Petal said before getting off work.“Don’t overwork yourself okay?” Jaidyn said, putting down the watering spray bottle.“Petal, Petal, when can I see Bun Bun?” Ronin said, lightly pulling the hem of Petal’s top.“Bun Bun still hasn’t fully recovered, when he’s better I’ll invite Ronin to the park and we’ll play together okay?” Petal said, patting Ronin on the head.Petal pulled out her cellphone to let Camron know that she’ll be late tonight.~Camron was at the campus when he received the text.“Hey, Camron,” Kyle came forward, putting his arm around Camron’s shoulder. One look at Kyle, Camron knew what he wanted.&ld
