Vivian sat upright and forced out a smile. “ Jessica, you are back, I did not hear you come in”. She spoke casually.

“ Dad! Mom, you don't have to leave the pack for my sake, I will be fine, this is the pack you were born with and have invested so much in”.

“ It is alright dear, Alpha Draven has accepted us to his pack, we will find your wolf even if it means going through the earth and we are going to prove them wrong, all of them that mocked and humiliated you”.

Both women let the tears roll through as they embraced each other. The next day, Vivian and Sebastian both went to the pack house to see Landon who had to summon them.

They stood in the large living room not daring to sit, this was the home where Jessica grew up and ran around like a playground, it was the only place they ever felt like home.

But now the couple had a strange feeling standing here, everywhere felt strange and uncomfortable and they dared not relax.

“ Sebastian! ”. Landon called from the stairs wearing black regalia.

“ Why are the both of you standing like some visitors, come on go ahead and sit”.

“ Thank you, Alpha for your kind gesture, but we will prefer to stand”. Sebastian objected.

“ Alright, if you insist. I received your letter that you wanted to leave the pack, why would you do that? ”.

“ You know the answer too well, we can't let our daughter go rogue”. Vivian replied as she rolled her eyes at him.

“ But you are my beta and strongest pack member, you can't leave”.

“ I am sorry Alpha, I wish there was another way this could go, but I can't leave my family, they need me now more than ever”.

“ The thing between Jessica and I, you do understand that it was not my fault right, the council wanted her gone because as it stands now, Jessica is not a werewolf and can not belong to the werewolf clan”.

“ My daughter who I carried in my womb is a wolf! And soon she is going to prove it to you all”. Vivian yelled out, but her husband squeezed her hand hoping to calm her down.

“ Have you made up your mind, do you want to leave? ”.

“ I am sorry Alpha, but we have to ”.

“ The news about your daughter has spread through packs, no pack will be willing to accommodate her”.

“ We have spoken to Alpha Draven, and he accepted us”.

Landon chuckled sarcastically before his eyes fell on Sebatian.

“ You want to take Jessica to blood moon pack where she is going to get killed, I thought you loved your daughter and wanted the best for her”.

“ You need not worry Alpha, we will be fine! ”. Sebastian replied calmly. Landon stood still for a while glaring at them from time to time.

He seemed perplexed and not certain what to do as he sighed loudly.

“Alright then, let's do this. I Alpha Landon Arlen, Alpha to the Moon Shadow pack denounce you Sebastian Lyon, and Vivian Lyon as members of the pack, never will you be accepted to this pack ever again! ”.

“ I Sebastian Lyon Accept your rejection, never will I be a member of this pack again”.

“ I, Vivian Lyon accept your rejection, never will I be a member of this pack again”. She replied and he let out a long sigh.

“ Alright, you can take your time with your things, and send my regards to Jessica”.

They both nodded without saying a word to him, the intense silence that clouded the air made them uncomfortable and they strode out of his house, a place which they once called home.

Sebastian and his family spent the entire day packing out and the next day, they moved out away from the pack they were born and everyone that knew that.

Sebastian, Vivian, and Jessica arrived at the Blood Moon pack house, it was bigger than their previous pack house.

The packed house had many stories with wrap-around porches and balconies that looked over the surrounding landscape.

Alpha Draven had sent someone to wait for them at the river bank which was the boundary that divided each pack, Matteo who waited for their arrival took them to the pack house.

Inside the pack house is spacious and airy with vaulted ceilings, large glass windows, and warm wood floors, although the furniture looks rustic, they were unique and beautiful with a touch of artistry.

At the door side was Beta Asher standing with his eyes not blinking, his gaze staring blankly at the wall.

A huge man with so many tattoos and scars on his body sat at the fireplace, Olive skin radiated through the light while his dark hazel eyes stared intensely at the people who just walked in, they could feel a shiver that almost melted them at his gaze.

“ Good day Alpha Draven, thank you for having us in your pack”. Sebastian stood boldly with eye contact while speaking to him but Draven had his eyes piercing at Jessica.

“ Is she your daughter, the one without a wolf? ”.

“ Yes, Alpha! ”. Both parents replied in chorus.

“ You are welcome to our pack as long as you do not cause any trouble for anyone”. His voice was so deep, dark, and intense that the two ladies did not dare look up but his eyes still pierced at her.

“ I Alpha Draven Cole, Alpha to the Blood Moon pack and bearer of the curse of the moon goddess Accept the three of you, Sebastian Lyon, Vivian Lyon, and Jessica Lyon as members of the Blood Moon pack to uphold our norms, values, and traditions of the moon goddess, do you accept”.

“ We accept you Alpha Draven Cole as our only Alpha and Blood Moon pack as our only pack”. They replied in chorus and Asher came forward with a hot iron from the fireplace.

He placed it on each of their arms, Sebastian tightened his jaws and did not dare scream while the two women had lesser tolerance for the pain.

Within a few minutes, the red print disappeared from their hand, it was a sign that they had been accepted by the moon goddess.

“ A house will be made available for you and your family, but for now, you will have to stay at the pack house until it is settled”.

“ Thank you so much Alpha, I have another request”.

“ Go ahead, what is it? ”.

“ My daughter is a college student, would it be possible for her to enroll at the pack's College? ”.

“ What are you doing? ”. Vivian whispered to her husband for fear of how the Alpha might choose to reply.

“ Why not, She is now a member of the pack and will not be treated differently because she doesn't have a wolf, and if anyone dares bully her, I want to be informed right away!! ”.

The couple exchanged a glance before replying in unison.

“ Thank you so much Alpha”.

“ Also, My wife is a qualified teacher, if there should ever be an opening in any of the pack schools….. ”.

“ She can visit the administrative office and apply, I have no business there”.

“ Yes Alpha, thank you so much Alpha! ”.

They replied again and followed Matteo out of there.

“ Why are you giving her that look? ”. Asher asked him as soon as they were out of there.

“ What look? ”.

“ You had that look when you are curious about something”.

“ Her parents are two capable wolves why hasn't she met her wolf at this age, it is strange”.

“Yes it is indeed bizarre, most people in their previous pack believed that Sebastian was not the Father of the girl, but looking at her now, I see so much resemblance to him”.

Draven nodded as he remained silent, his eyes far away into a blank space.

The canvas of Draven”s tent billowed gently in the cool night air, the moon casting long, skeletal shadows across the camp. Inside, the air was thick with the scent of pine and the soft, rhythmic breathing of a sleeping woman. Draven lay beside Jessica, his hand resting gently on her swollen belly. A slight tremor rippled beneath his touch.“He”s kicking again." Jessica murmured, her voice laced with a sleepy smile. “Every time you”re near, he gets all excited. He knows you”re the one who will lead him to greatness.“Draven chuckled, a deep rumble that vibrated through his chest. “Perhaps he”s sensing the warrior spirit of his father." he said, his thumb tracing the contours of her stomach. “He”ll be a great leader, there”s no doubt about it.“They fell silent, the only sound the crackling of the fire outside and the gentle rustling of the leaves in the nearby forest. The chilling air of the Blood Moon Pack territory wrapped around Draven like a shroud. The scent of pine and damp earth, normally comforting, now carried the weight of his impending battle. He’d been away for so long, a prisoner of his own curse, but now the time had come. The time to reclaim what was rightfully his. He raised his hand, halting the silent march of his army, the crimson banner of the Blood Moon Pack fluttering in the wind behind him. It was a symbol of power, of might, but now it was a symbol of his own shattered past.“We” 'll camp here," he announced, his voice resonating with an undercurrent of steel. The soldiers, hardened and loyal, responded with a chorus of grunts and the rhythmic scraping of boots on the ground as they began to set up camp. Draven watched them, a flicker of pride passing through him. These were his warriors, his brothers, the ones who had followed him through fire and blood, the ones who believed in him despite the darkness that resided within

The air in the dungeon cell felt thick with despair, a weight that pressed down on Vivian and Penny like a physical entity. The only light filtering in was a sliver of pale moonlight that sliced through the barred window, casting long, ominous shadows across the damp stone walls. They sat huddled together on the cold, hard floor, their backs against the rough stone, each seeking solace in the other”s presence.“He”s coming,” Penny whispered, her voice barely audible over the constant dripping of water from a crack in the ceiling.Vivian looked at her, a faint flicker of hope igniting in her eyes. “You”re sure?““The guards have been whispering,” Penny replied, her voice low and urgent. “They”re scared. They”re talking about Alpha Draven, about how he”s returning to reclaim the pack.“A deep sigh escaped Vivian”s lips. “It feels like a dream,” she admitted, her voice thick with emotion. “For so long, we”ve been trapped in this darkness.
