Vivian Lyon strides through the hallway of the school wearing a leather black suit that enhances her light complexion.
Her brown hair was waved up ponytail and with no makeup applied on her face, Vivian still glowed in her late forties. She was previously engaged to the Alpha of the Midnight Pack but once she found her mate and he was the one, she broke the engagement, she was a beauty of her time and everyone would gasp as she walked up still now, she still turned head around. She had come over to the school to pick up a few documents but seeing her daughter get bullied sent a fury inside of her. “ What is going on here? ”. She roared, walking closer to them while other students slowly drifted behind, for fear of what she might do. “ Aunt Vivian, Jessica won't stop bullying me just because the Alpha rejected her and chose me instead, I have been trying to make peace with her but she won't accept my plead”. Zoe pouted her lips and spoke in the most emotional way known. “ But that was not what I saw right now! ”.“ Aunt, are you saying that I am lying, I dare not lie to you, you can go ahead and ask Trisha! ”.“ Enough! I can't stand you bickering with words so I am going to make it as clear as possible, you do not ever bully my daughter like that, and if either of you should try it next time, I will rip out your heart and feed it to the dogs!! ”. She yelled with her voice so intimidating that it sent a shiver down her spine. “ What is going on here! ”. A male voice spoke and strode over to them, he was in his late fifties and already had visible grey hair. His jaws curve into a frown as he glares at Vivian. “ Daddy, Aunt Vivian bullies me! ”. Zoe cried out and he turned around to the intimidating woman who looked like she was going to devour him with her eyes. “ I understand that Zoe lost her mother at a tender age, but you should learn to give her some home training, especially about speaking the truth”. Vivian queried. “ You girls can go ahead to your class while I put this woman in her place”. Leo strides closer to Vivian while Jessica tugs behind her. “ You want to teach me about raising a child while you have a rotten egg at home, you think that just because you are the wife of the beta you can go ahead and do things as it pleases you, but read my lips, soon you will be begging for your life”.“ You won't dare it Leo, I will speak to you how and when I chose”.“ I guess that you haven't heard the news? ”.“ What news? ”. Her eyes immediately narrowed at him and his lips curled into a smile seeing that he had an advantage over her. “ That thing you call a daughter will be banished from the pack soon, everyone thinks that you got pregnant for that bastard child somewhere else, Sebastian is a fierce wolf and you expect us to believe that he bore such a coward".“ My daughter is not a coward!! One more word from you and I will rip out your eyes!! ” She growled and drifted closer to him, just an inch away. Leo although scared, tries to keep his cool as he drifts backward and scurries away. “ It has been decided Vivian, that thing you call a daughter is going rogue”. He chuckles at his words striding down the hallway. Vivian stood there for a while not sure what to say to her daughter before she finally spoke. “ Let go! ”. She yelled and stormed out of there with Jessica following behind quietly. “ Mother is it true, will I be banished? ”.“ Not while I am still alive! ”. She steered off the engine of her car and drove off. Down the road that led to the pack house, Jessica suddenly requested. “ Mom please I need to get down here”.“ What do you mean, what are you doing? ”.“ Please Mother even just once, I need to speak to Landon”.“ Are you sure about this, because it might not go the way you expect”.“ It alright Mom, I have braced myself for this”. Jessica unhooked the seatbelt and alighted out of the car, waving to her mother who looked at her with those droopy eyes. Landon had just concluded a meeting when a light knock came through his room, and before he could say a word, she had twisted the doorknob and stood right before him. Landon watched her slender curved shape stand right before him, she had her backpack so he could tell that she was just coming from school. Feeling guilty, he drifted his eyes away from her. “ Is it true Landon? Am I getting banished? ”.“ Jessica, that was not my decision alone to make, the cabinet decided on it”.“ And what was your stand on it, did you defend me, did you protect me? ”.“ There is so much that you won't understand, but as it stands now, our pack and my stand as the Alpha need more solidarity stand, else someone might just wake up tomorrow and challenge me for the Alpha position”.“ Is that all that always matters to you, your position as the Alpha? ”.“ You need to understand me Jessica, every other Alpha fought and killed for that position, but in my case, it was handed over to me by my father, I need to be sure that it doesn't get taken away”.“ So you are going to send me out to the dogs to get eaten”.“ You will be fine, I know you will! ”. Hearing his words filled her heart with so much rage and bitterness that sent her heart choking. “ I will be fine you say, you sent a wolf-less teenage girl out to be a rogue, how can I be fine, how do you expect me to survive it? ”.“ I am Sorry Jessica, but that is what the Cabinet wants, my hands are tied”. Jessica thought she had braced herself and was ready for whatever was going to come out of his mouth, but it pierced her so deeply that she couldn't bear it. She lifted her hand and slammed him as hard as she could on his face, Landon tightened his jaws and turned to her, but he could not react because the tears in her eyes melted his heart and yet he stood there and watched her leave. The beta's residence was a bungalow located close to the park house, there was a time when Sebastian lived at the pack house considering that it was big and could contain five different families, but after Landon's father died, Sebastian moved away from the pack house and got his own house. Jessica was just outside the large metal door when she overheard her parent speaking and decided to listen to them. “ There are no packs that have agreed to take us in, they all insisted that we joined their pack without our daughter”. Sebastian explained as he furrowed his brows. “ Why is everyone rejecting her, it is not like she is wolfless, it just late that is all! ”.“ Vivian it is high time we face the truth, late bloomers get their wolf on their 18th birthday but with Jessica, there was nothing, there is no way she can still have a wolf”.“ Do not say such a thing about our daughter, it is just late, her wolf will come, I am certain of it”.“ But what can we do now, Alpha Landon has asked her to leave, we can't let her become a rogue wolf at such an age”.“ Are you saying we join the Blood Moon pack, accepting Alpha Draven is like signing our death sentence, the man is a lunatic who sucks the blood of his pack members, there is no way I am taking my daughter to such a pack”.Vivian cried out. “ Most of his pack members are still alive, we do not have much of a choice, we just have to join them, he is the only Alpha that has accepted us with our daughter”. Vivian lowered her head and let the tears trickle down her cheeks, just then, Jessica walked in and she immediately wiped away the tears.EPILOGUEA year had passed since the blood moon had finally relinquished its hold on Draven, and the Alpha's presence had shifted in a way that mirrored the sun's gradual warming after a long, harsh winter. His eyes, once perpetually shadowed with the darkness of the curse, now sparkled with a newfound warmth. The lines etched deep around his mouth, carved by years of torment and brutal battles, softened with each passing day, replaced by a gentle curve that spoke of inner peace. The council chamber was a vast, circular space carved into the heart of the ancient oak forest that ringed the Blood Moon Pack territory. Sunlight streamed through the tall, arched windows, illuminating the polished wood of the massive table where the Alpha and his council sat. A crackling fire danced in the hearth, casting flickering shadows that danced across the faces of the council members. They were a diverse group, united by their loyalty to Draven and their commitment to the pack's future.Seated at th
The air hung heavy with the scent of victory and the lingering tang of blood. The battlefield, once a scene of brutal carnage, now lay silent, the moon a crimson orb casting an eerie glow upon the ravaged landscape. The Blood Moon Pack, once a symbol of fear and tyranny under Mateo’s rule, was finally free. And at its heart stood Draven, his silver hair gleaming under the blood moon”s light, his eyes burning with an intensity that spoke of the battles waged and won.A roar erupted from the assembled pack, a symphony of gratitude and relief. They had fought alongside him, their hearts echoing his own defiance against Mateo’s cruelty. Now, their hero stood victorious, a beacon of hope in the midst of the devastation.“Draven! Draven!“ the chants rose, a tide of voices echoing through the valley. The pack surged forward, their faces a mix of elation and awe. They reached out, their hands trembling, eager to touch the man who had brought them back from the brink.Draven, his gaze sweepin
The canvas of Draven”s tent billowed gently in the cool night air, the moon casting long, skeletal shadows across the camp. Inside, the air was thick with the scent of pine and the soft, rhythmic breathing of a sleeping woman. Draven lay beside Jessica, his hand resting gently on her swollen belly. A slight tremor rippled beneath his touch.“He”s kicking again." Jessica murmured, her voice laced with a sleepy smile. “Every time you”re near, he gets all excited. He knows you”re the one who will lead him to greatness.“Draven chuckled, a deep rumble that vibrated through his chest. “Perhaps he”s sensing the warrior spirit of his father." he said, his thumb tracing the contours of her stomach. “He”ll be a great leader, there”s no doubt about it.“They fell silent, the only sound the crackling of the fire outside and the gentle rustling of the leaves in the nearby forest. Jessica sighed, her hand finding his. “I miss our home, Draven." she whispered, her voice tinged with a wistful longin
The chilling air of the Blood Moon Pack territory wrapped around Draven like a shroud. The scent of pine and damp earth, normally comforting, now carried the weight of his impending battle. He’d been away for so long, a prisoner of his own curse, but now the time had come. The time to reclaim what was rightfully his. He raised his hand, halting the silent march of his army, the crimson banner of the Blood Moon Pack fluttering in the wind behind him. It was a symbol of power, of might, but now it was a symbol of his own shattered past.“We” 'll camp here," he announced, his voice resonating with an undercurrent of steel. The soldiers, hardened and loyal, responded with a chorus of grunts and the rhythmic scraping of boots on the ground as they began to set up camp. Draven watched them, a flicker of pride passing through him. These were his warriors, his brothers, the ones who had followed him through fire and blood, the ones who believed in him despite the darkness that resided within
The air in the dungeon cell felt thick with despair, a weight that pressed down on Vivian and Penny like a physical entity. The only light filtering in was a sliver of pale moonlight that sliced through the barred window, casting long, ominous shadows across the damp stone walls. They sat huddled together on the cold, hard floor, their backs against the rough stone, each seeking solace in the other”s presence.“He”s coming,” Penny whispered, her voice barely audible over the constant dripping of water from a crack in the ceiling.Vivian looked at her, a faint flicker of hope igniting in her eyes. “You”re sure?““The guards have been whispering,” Penny replied, her voice low and urgent. “They”re scared. They”re talking about Alpha Draven, about how he”s returning to reclaim the pack.“A deep sigh escaped Vivian”s lips. “It feels like a dream,” she admitted, her voice thick with emotion. “For so long, we”ve been trapped in this darkness. A sliver of hope was all we had left, but now...“
In the dimly lit council chamber of the Moon Shadow Pack, a sense of unease hung heavy in the air. The tragic demise of Alpha Landon, their former leader, cast a long shadow upon the gathering, their hearts still reeling from the treachery that had unfolded. In the aftermath, the cruel and power hungry Zoe, the architect of Landon"s downfall, had been banished, leaving a void in the pack"s leadership. As the cabinet members filed into the chamber, their faces etched with concern and uncertainty, Silas, the pack"s elder and former Beta, took his place at the head of the long oak table. His gaze was steady, his demeanor resolute, despite the weight of the decisions that lay before them."My fellow council members." Silas began, his voice resonating with authority, "we find ourselves at a critical juncture in the history of our pack. The events of recent days have tested our unity and resolve. It is imperative that we emerge from this turmoil with strength and determination."A ripple of
