Lisa

As I stood before the large building, I slowly began to lose control of my breathing. Its towering spires reached for the sky, while its stone walls stood sturdy and proud, exuding an air of grandeur and opulence.

The exterior was adorned with intricate carvings and delicate details, each telling a story that I honestly didn't want to know about. Turrets adorned with fluttering flags punctuated the skyline, casting long shadows across the courtyard below. Vines cascaded down the walls, adding a touch of wild beauty to the otherwise imposing structure.

I couldn't help but marvel at its size, and soon came to realize that it was a lot larger than the one back at our pack. It was probably this large to house all the children than George Anders would keep producing. And after I had thought about it in that light, the size became less impressive by the second.

There were gardens by the front yard, and the bright mix of colors and fragrances gave the imposing building a wa

  • The Alpha’s secret baby   Chapter 53

Chapter 53Lisa Although the news of Maeve's departure brought me great joy, I still maintained my indifferent expression. Maeve might be gone, but that didn't excuse what went down between her and Klaus. I was still mad about the entire situation, but I had promised to drop the cold attitude if Klaus sent her away. We both sat in silence. While I tried to distract myself with a book, Klaus was finishing up some business with the guards. The proprietor of the arson situation had been caught, and Klaus was passing his sentence. Damon stood a few inches away from Klaus, and occasionally he would stare towards my direction with inquisitive eyes. Since he was the one who took Maeve away from the castle, I figured he must be curious to know why I'd suggested she gets kicked out. Klaus probably didn't tell him, and I had no intention of saying anything to anybody. If possible, I wanted to forget about everything that went down that night. After he was done with the matter, Klaus dismiss

  • The Alpha’s secret baby   Chapter 52

Chapter 52MaeveAll I could do was stare at my torn apart room. My tears were all dried up, and I couldn't afford to scream anymore. My voice ached, and all the maids that had come in to help me had been successfully scared away. How could Klaus do this to me? And how dare that lowly omega think she can get away with this act?! I knew it was her doing, she was the only person who could pull Klaus's strings without fear of drawbacks. The thought of Lisa made my fists tighten aggressively, and soon, the warmth of my own blood stained my palm. I didn't think that this would be part of the lash backs of my plan, and although I was infuriated with it, I had no regrets. If anything, this only made me want revenge even more. Lisa might have won this round, but I had no plans of giving up just yet. The sound of the closing door startled me a bit. I raised my head, ready to scream and throw anything at the person who had entered my room, but immediately stopped the moment I caught sight of

  • The Alpha’s secret baby   Chapter 51

Chapter 51KlausThis time I knew it had to be done. I already suspected that would be her only condition, and I knew it couldn't be escaped. Ever since she stepped foot inside the castle, even when she hadn't fallen in love with me, Lisa had always been cautious of Maeve. The two ladies never liked each other, and had always been on the move to eliminate the other. However, this time, it seemed Lisa was the victorious one out of the two. I had a suspicion that Maeve had somehow slipped something in my food or drink, but without evidence, all I could do was speculate and get mad at myself. As long as the narrative she pushed was that I invited her into my bed, there was nothing I could do to oppose her claims, especially when I had no memory of the event. "Fine, I'll do whatever you say." I agreed before wiping away the remaining streaks of tears on my cheeks. I knew doing this would bring up heat between me and Alpha Anders, but for the sake of my family, I was willing to handle th

  • The Alpha’s secret baby   Chapter 50

Chapter 50 LisaAlthough I was even more stunned than I was when I first received news of my first pregnancy, I maintained a stiff expression. The doctor flinched at the indifference in my expression, and for a moment I could tell he wanted to bombard me with a ton of questions. But after two minutes of silence, he finally made up his mind, and decided to shorten his list to one question only. "Is something the matter, my lady? Do you not want to bear the Alpha's Heir?" His question was direct, and I knew my answer would determine how he'd act towards me from today henceforth. Everybody here loved Klaus, and attempting anything that would be detrimental to the Alpha's happiness would turn the masses against you instantly. Not that it mattered to me, he might hate me depending on my answer, but even at that, he still wouldn't be able to do a thing about that. "What are you implying, doctor?" I returned, my voice cold and full of intimidation. "The news is a surprising one, am I not

  • The Alpha’s secret baby   Chapter 49

Chapter 49Lisa Mark looked mortified, confusion visible on every corner of his face."Are you certain of this, Lisa?" He questioned and I could glare at him as he hadn't been paying attention. Of course I wasn't sure of anything I just said, but it wouldn't hurt to find out the truth, would it? I needed to find out the truth, I needed to convince myself that Klaus was innocent if I was ever going to see him the way I used to."Of course not, but my guts tell me that I might be right—""I don't think you should do this." Mark suggested and I arched a suspicious brow at his words. "What do you mean?" I returned, curious and eager to know the reasons behind that suggestion."I feel like you might be taking things a bit too far. I mean this could turn out badly for everyone, including the innocent people." Mark explained. I turned to face the path before me before returning my attention to him. He had a point, and there was no denying that. I was the queen, and every word I spoke held

  • The Alpha’s secret baby   Chapter 48

Chapter 48Lisa I headed towards the garden to cool my head. It was the only place in the entire castle that I could find peace at the moment. At first I wanted to go visit Mark and apologize to him for what had happened, but on the way I ran into Klaus on the verge of choking Maeve to death. If I hadn't intervened when I did, I was certain he would have hurt her. After ending the drama, my emotions had gotten out of control once more, and I knew I couldn't face Mark while my heart was bleeding this much. I wanted to believe that none of it was true, and if someone had told me I probably wouldn't believe them. However this case was different, I had seen them together, naked and asleep in each other's arms. If only that had been a dream, perhaps believing Klaus would have been a lot easier. "Lisa.." I heard him call out to me. I thought it was a fraction of my imagination, but the moment his cologne filled my nostrils, I immediately recognised his presence. Hastily, I rose from th
