Wesly
It's 3am. All hell is breaking loose outside in my pack. We are under attack. Again. There is this one bullshit Alpha always coming for me. He thinks that because I am younger than him, I am an easy target. You'd think he would have learned better by now. Guess not. I throw the covers back, and Kota pulls the shift. We leap down the stairs and charge full speed out the back door. I link to my Beta, Jake. He tells me it is indeed Alpha Brett and his gang of nut lickers. Kota is sitting on go when the first wolf comes at us. He tries to jump on top of us, but Kota sidesteps the wolf's attempt to tackle us. He digs his claws into the wolf's body with a visious snarl. Now it's a double team. Kota puts on the breaks and backs up. The 2 wolves that are charging at us headbutt each other. Jake is at my side. His wolf, Rafe, grabs one of the stunned wolves by the neck. Rafe shakes his head with such force I hear the wolf's bones crack under the pressure. Kota grabs the other one and we death roll that bitch. I see my other warriors taking down Alpha Brett's pack one by one. I smile with sweet satisfaction. He should have known we wouldn't go down without a fight. He does now. I send out a group link asking for anyone who needs help. I get a response, and Jake and I head in the direction of our warrior, who is down. It is Lee, the warrior I intend to make my Gamma. He has 3 wolves on him. These cowards don't believe in fighting fair at all. I call for my own backup. Within moments we have evened the playing feild. Lee gets to his paws. He is pissed. He bulldog charges one of the wolves. They go rolling across the ground in a mangaled heap of fur and teeth. "How many fucking warriors dose Alpha Brett have?!" Jake asks me through our minds. 'Not as many as he had when they got here.' I answered as Kota ripped the chest out of the wolf in front of us. 'Alpha, they are entering the packhouse!' Another of my warriors links me. Jake and I turn about with my 2 other warriors in tow, leaving the remaining wolf to Lee. We don't have a lot of women and children here at Born Moon. But the few that we do have I know didn't have time to get to a safe room. They are definitely inside the packhouse. At this point, they are liabilities, but they are my liabilities. We get there just in time to see one of Alpha Brett's warriors grab hold of a pup by his throat with his claws fully extended. He lifts him in the air and pins him against the wall. I can see the blood already seeping from the boy's neck. The wolf digs his claws deeper into his flesh. I shift and go for a dagger hanging on the wall. I tear it from its mount. It may be a decorative antique for show, but I don't have anything around me that isn't real. I come up behind the wolf that has the pup against the wall. I lunged the dagger into his neck and twisted it. His blood splatters me in the face as he slumps to the floor. The pup is bleeding profusely from his neck. I ripped the shirt off of another pup and used it as a tourniquet to try to stop the bleeding. I scooped the pup up in my arms and ran for my pack hospital. Calling for my warriors to cover us as we went. I handed the boy over to Doctor Stephens, but it was too late. He had already bled out. I get back outside, covered in pups' blood. My pack looked like a battlefield. The Alpha was howling the retreat for his warriors. I sent a group link telling my warriors to help them find their way out.Wesly We get Maggie's things from the garage and up the stairs. As we entered the bedroom, the memories of finding Charlie attacking Bella and the way I responded to her afterward hit me hard. The last time I'd been in here was the night I hauled Bella out of the bathroom. 'The attack wasn't your fault.' Kota reminds me. 'And you were a different man then.' We drop the bags and quickly exit. Lee and I turn toward my bedroom. I can feel Jake's desire to go in with us, but he and Rafe turned in the other direction and headed downstairs instead. I tell him we will sit down together after Bella's nap. Jake hasn't said it, but I know he is captivated by Maggie. I think they would make a good match. 'Don't say anything to Jake,' Kota tells me. 'Because Rafe hasn't, he thinks she might be their mate.' 'Tell Rafe, good luck.' I returned. I wasn't sure about the mate thing, but I already knew my friend had his hands full. The three girls are piled on the bed with Jordan in the middl
Annabella "Can I hold him?" Maggie asked Cindy about Jordan. Who already had me settle on the bed and instructed me to put my feet up. "Sure," Cindy says, handing the pup to Maggie. Maggie's eyes lit up with Jordan in her arms. I couldn't wait to see her as a mother. I never thought I would have such an opportunity. "You're a natural, sis," I tell her. I wasn't sure what I said to upset her, but tears welled in her eyes. "Maggie, what's wrong?" I asked her quietly. "I won't ever be a mother." She said sadly. I opened my mouth to question her further when Wesly, Lee, and Jake burst through the door, loaded down. I couldn't miss that Jake's eyes immediately went to Maggie with a smile. Nor the fact that she promptly frowned at him before turning her back, almost as if she was protecting Jordan from him. I thought I did see a slight blush cross her cheeks, but, it was gone quickly. Wesly comes over to the bed, feathers his hand across my forehead, and kisses my face. "How
Jake Lee, Cindy, Jordan, and I are waiting at the garage when the SUV pulls down the drive. I am glad to see Wesly. It was ok being the Alpha for a while, but I was ready for a vacation. I had picked up on the stress in his voice the last few times we've talked. I can't help but assume his aggravation is because of Bella's sister. He did say she was strung out on meth when they found her. Nevertheless, she is family, I am sure Wesly feels the same. Of course, he would deal with the devil himself for his Luna. The car comes to a stop. Cindy hands Jordan off to Lee and steps beside the passenger door, waiting for Bella. Wesly had linked and told us to go easy on her. I could hardly believe Stone had shot her. Technically, I suppose he was trying to kill my Alpha instead. It was good that he was already dead. It would save me some trouble. Bella got out fairly easily and embraced Cindy in a hug. Then she moved to the back door. "There's someone I want you all to meet." She says to
Wesly "Everything looks great." Layla is telling Bella as she gets dressed in the exam room. "Cat is doing a wonderful job helping heal you. It won't be long before you can shift. Give it a few more days." She paused a moment. "There's just one more thing I want to discuss with you both. Follow me to my office." We fall in behind Layla, and she leads us down the corridor. We take seats across from each other. "Is there something wrong, Layla?" I asked her, taking Bella's hand into mine. "No, nothing is wrong." She paused, looking between us. "Have you changed your mind about having pups right away?" "No," Bella and I both say. She nodded her head. "William and I discovered birth control pills aren't effective in our wolves when they mate." She chuckled, opening a drawer and pulling out a small white box. "Wayde was the result. I can give you a diaphragm and some spermicide." She tells Bella, demonstrating with a model on her desk. "you would insert them into your vagina bef
Wesly I would be blind not to see the daggers Harper is shooting at me from across the table. I am sure of why I have been sneaking away for more dance lessons with her while Bella has been catching up with Maggie. She hasn't let me forget our deal, and she knows we are leaving today. Finally, I gave up the holdout. "Bella has a birthday next week," I announced. "We would like very much to have you all there." Harper smiled widely. The table went silent, all eyes fixed on me. "You want us to come to your pack?" My mother asked in disbelief. "Very much," I said with reverence. "The best thing I learned from Paps is that life is too short to hold onto anything holding you down." "Well said, brother," Harper said. "We wouldn't miss it!" We were all surprised to see Maggie peek her head around the corner, until now she hasn't left her room. "Maggie," Bella called to her, and we scooted down a chair so she could sit. "It is nice to see you, Ms. Maggie," my mother told her. "
Wesly Kota has told me for the past couple of days that he ain't liking this situation with Bella's sister at all. Though she has been cordial since Bella's ultimatum, she also makes it evident she still does not trust me behind a dime, turned sideways. I suppose if I were in her shoes, I wouldn't either. If she only knew some of the things I have done to her sister. My wolf, always on guard, is concerned that Maggie will eventually plant seeds of mistrust of us in Bella, especially since her wolf has begun to show signs of resurfacing, and Maggie and Bella have been spending more and more time together. The way I see it, that could never happen, either way it doesn't matter, a party of three will be heading back to Born Moon in the morning. Our bags are already backed and loaded in the SUV. We barely had enough room for it all. My sisters were kind enough to hook Maggie up with a complete wardrobe. Bella has an early appointment with Layla for one more ready-to-travel check-up
