Chapter Five

Kelsey's eyes widened, she almost fell out of her chair when she heard this, she couldn't believe her ears. An alpha was asking her to pretend as his mate.

She turned to Dennis, "You are joking right?", she asked, it was obvious she was confused

"No, I'm not", Dennis responded

"Just stop joking. You are trying to make fun of me right?", Kelsey asked again

"Of course not", Dennis disagreed, "I'm not joking, I am so serious about this and I want you to pretend as my mate, just for a while", he confirmed.

Kelsey stopped and stared at him for some minutes, "But why do you need a fake mate?", she mumbled

Dennis fell back to his seat, he placed his hands on the car steering wheel and sighed, "I am 24 already and I don't have a mate, I can't even feel her unlike others who can feel theirs. My Beta, Troy got mated to his mate today but I still can't feel mine", he ranted

Kelsey could understand his pain as she was in the same situation, she knew how it felt to see others getting mated
