41: They don't matter

I knew they were trying hard not to be obvious but it was nearly impossible not to notice all the staring and shocked expressions the pack members were throwing our way. I know it was a rare occurrence but I still felt they should have been more subtle in their gazes.

I walked hand in hand with Zion down the hallway. When he woke up again, it was almost dawn. I thought to go back to my room and give him some space but he suddenly declared that he was too tired and bored of laying in one place so he decided that he wanted to train.

“Are you crazy? You're still recovering” I had yelled out at him but he just smiled and kissed me on the forehead before disappearing into the closet and coming out dressed in sweats and a shirt.

“Zion, I don't think you should train now. Besides it's already late. Can't you wait till tomorrow?” I tried to dissuade him but he wasn't having it

“Come with me” he said instead, disregarding my previous statement and I almost screamed in frustration
