The Alpha’s abducted Luna
The Alpha’s abducted Luna
Author: Grace Vine

1.

At night Mira tries to read a novel to take her from reality, her reality was awful, it was dread and like a living hell for her so she prefers straying away from reality so that she could live in another fantasy and escape her real life story. She struggles to sleep every night because of flashbacks of her terrible day, so before she sleeps every night she reads something that will make her smile and have a goodnight rest. Honestly she wished she wasn't born at all, everyone in her live makes her feel less of a person, they look down on her like some trash, she wasn't ugly but she was fat, she wasn't badly shaped though, she had good attractive curves, but she was on the big side, the main thing that makes her sad was not knowing how to defend herself when ever insults or mocking from her mates were thrown on her, she was so innocent and humble, she can't even hurt a fly, she just wanted peace and by peace she got the opposite.

She looked up from her bed as she tried falling at sleep, after trying and didn't see any atom of sleep, she took up her novel by her bed side and and opened it, she tried reading it but her mind kept going back to the insults she received from bullies at school, she closed it and went to her mini book selves to look for something that makes her feel positive, she took out the book her mum gave to her as a birthday gift long ago, she dusted it and went back to her bed to read it.

"Every now and then, there are days when you just need a little pick-me-up. You can blame it on the weather, the wrong side of the bed, or that horrible thing that your friend might have said. But negative thoughts don’t have to hold you down or affect your mood or the outcome of your day. To combat those not-so-great feels, we curated a healthy list of positive affirmations to bookmark, screenshot, or write down so you can always come back to remind yourself just how awesome you are. Pick one and write it in your planner, keep a running list on your phone to look at in times of need, or repeat the one that resonates most with you over and over.

"I’m allowed to take up space" Mira said

"I'm allowed to take up space" she beat her chest and repeated it

"My past is not a reflection of my future." She read

"My past is not a reflection of my future" she nodded her head as the positive words from the book sank into her head

"I am strong enough to make my own decisions." She read on

"I’m in control of how I react to others." She repeated "I'm in control of how I react to others" this was something she reminds herself when every she wants to get angry at her bullies

"I choose peace." She closed her eyes as she read this part again "I chose peace" she inhaled and took in more air before exhaling

"I’m courageous and stand up for myself." She sat upright and repeated "I'm courageous and I can stand up for myself" deep down she was unbelieving about this part she felt to weak to stand for herself

"I will succeed today" she read on

"I deserve to feel joy" she said out loud to tell her unconsciousness that likes making her sad "I deserve to feel joy!" She said again

"I’m worthy of love" Mira know only hate, but her mum though will always love her and she's satisfied with that.

"I love myself deeply" she said, she needs to know that whatsoever people said should not make her hate herself

"By mayle_k" she concluded

After all she closed the book and smiled, she felt better now and that means she could get some sleep.

Her alarm kept ringing on and on, she was so hell bent on not tapping it off, but it was a pain in her ass so she had to summon strength to turn it off.

"Sometimes I wonder why I bother going to school, when everyone there hates me, I mean who wouldn't. A fatso who knows nothing but food. The biggest loser in school."

These were Miranda's first thoughts as she grudgingly opened her eyes before turning off the annoying cucuclock alarm her mum forced her to keep, this was as a result of her constantly waking up late and eventually going late to school.

It's not that she really woke up late everytime but the thoughts of having to go to school and face everyone there, kept her in bed till her mum yelled from downstairs or came up to drag her down.

''Mira get down now, or I'm coming up!.''

"Ughh.. Such a joy killer". Mira thought as she got down from her bed, hurriedly went into her bathroom to brush her teeth and take a quick shower before someone will mock her about her smelly shirt in school, she dried her herself and threw on the first clothes she could find. She was always late, every fucking time. "Coming mom!" She said as she ran down the stairs and went to the kitchen to meet her mom.

"Good morning Mom,'' Miranda hugged her mum as she got down the stairs

''Morning Mira, how was your night?" Her mom asked as she walked into the kitchen

"Same as always" Mira made a puking face as she answered her mom.

Last night most girls from her class had gone for Big Timmy's birthday bash but ofcourse, she had not gotten an invite. Her bestfriend Luciana was obviously invited seeing as she was one of the hottest girl in class, but she didn't go. Making up some lame excuse just to make Mira feel better. It irked Mira that Lucie had to miss out on such a good time because of a loser like her.

" haha Miranda, eat your breakfast and get your beautiful self out to school." Her mum said in a cheering tone to get her daughter lively

"yeah mom." Mira replied softly

She finished her breakfast and arranged her back pack, when she was done her mom kissed her and she took off.

"Why is it that only my ma sees me as beautiful" Mira thought to herself , "Because she's your mom stupid"

Her cynical subconscious wouldn't even spare her a moment of delusion, Mira sighed..

Mira hated taking the bus, thankfully, Lucie's big brother didn't mind dropping them at school except on days when he stayed overnight at the hospital where he worked. Mira thought he looked really cute especially in his white coat.

That day, once he had dropped them off in front of the school, Mira bent down pretending to tie her shoelaces. Lucie rolled her eyes trying not to laugh, she knew Mira was scouting. She always did that when they got to school.

"Hi" Mira greeted her friend, Lucie as she got into the car "good morning Fred" she greeted Lucie big brother

"You look better this morning" Fred said

"Yea," she smiled softly

Lucie and Mira chatted about some assignments that was due today before they arrived at the school, they got down and waved Fred off before walking into the school environment.

" Miranda what are you doing hiding there, let's go!" Lucie said

"No Lucie, can't you see Pamela is at the door? We can't go in now. I definitely don't want to be humiliated this early in the morning..." Mira was typically whining

" oh Mira.. sometimes I wonder why you can't just stand up for yourself when they press on you" Lucie said

"What's the use Lucie, everything they say is the truth anyways" Mira said sadly

"what do you mean Mira? You're beautiful don't let anyone treat you like shit ok?" Lucie tried encouraging her best friend

"Yeah yeah Lucie..." Lucie was her best friend, of course she would always try to cheer her up.

They locked hands and walked into school together. These were one of the few moments Mira felt invisible.

When they got to class Mira sighed as she sat down on her seat, she was glad that she made it successfully to her class without any trouble.

"Get your assignments out" Mr luck said immediately he got into the classroom

"He's giving us our test results today" Lucie whispered to her friend Mira

"I bet I got an "f" again" Mira said

Their teacher passed the test results as he took the assessments from them. When he got to Lucie table he stopped and looked at her in an ugly way, even her teachers hate her presence in their class like she's evil. She wondered what it was that everyone hate her for, like she was not supposed to be in their world.

"You had a D" he said

"At least it's better than a F" Mira shrugged

"You think" Mr luck said and threw her papers on her

She picked it up "thanks" she said and passed her assignment to him.

Mr luck ignored her, he took the assignment from her and moved on.
