CHAPTER 9

I barely sat up when he suddenly stopped the car at the drive thru of a popular fast-food chain.

"Looks like you're the one who's hungry, Doc." I stifled my laughter.

“I'm not buying for myself. I'm buying your food. We still have a long trip and you might get hungry." He said without looking at me.

I felt like horses running in my chest with joy. Somehow he was worried about me.

After he ordered our food, he immediately drove the car to the place where his Team's medical mission will be held while I once again distracted my eyes from the road. Minutes passed before sleepiness finally visited me causing me to fall asleep.

"Ms. Navarro, wake up."

I opened my eyes when I heard and felt Doc Emman calling and patting me.

"Hmmm," I groaned.

I wasn't supposed to wake up completely but when I realized that the door of Doc Emman's car was open, I immediately jumped up.

“You're seeing it right. We're here. Now, go fix yourself then lock the car. Here's the key," Doc Emman said serious
