Akiza's mother and Akiza with some of their house servants entered the grand palace of the King of Dodo. They waited for his presence. Shortly after the king appeared and both mother and son bowed their heads in greetings but their was a strain of anger in the face of the king as he took his seat, looked around and pointed straight at Akiza,
"You ungrateful son of your mother, did you not think it right to honor me?, you dishonor me by disregarding my daughter. Now you speak to her as you like, as if she is a commoner. I should have you pay for this!" Akiza's mother wasn't pleased with the manner the King had spoken to her son.
"With all due respect King of Dodo, if these two; your daughter and my son are going to have to marry each other we should learn to leave them to settle their issues by themselves. You have made this a routine; to call upon my son and disgrace him infront of your officials because of your daughter who has refused to grow up" The Witch wasn't sorry this time and the King felt challenged. He arose from his seat and detestedly pointed his sacred staff at the Witch and threatened to have her tongue if she didn't go down on her knees to apologise but the Witch wasn't ready to say sorry instead she turned to leave with her son but the King's men charged against them with their spears.
"It seems you have forgotten your place woman but I will remind you. You are still answerable to me despite the riches you have accumulated from the wealth of my land. Have you no shame, you visitor that eats what is not hers" Akiza's mother turned to face the king. "You tell your men to step out of my way. My son will have nothing to do with your daughter. Now let us pass"
"You have refused to learn a lesson but I'm the King and I hereby strip you of all titles and wealth, I hereby pronounce judgement upon you; to go into exile and never return to this land. You and your son must never be seen anywhere near Dodo or your heads will leave your necks!" The King struck his staff to the ground to seal his word. Akiza was moved in anger and he tried to advance towards the King but the men in the palace pushed both of them outside and threw them outside the gate. Akiza and his mother returned home in anger. Shortly after they arrived their home they saw troops from the palace galloping towards their house and Akiza's mother knew they had come to take over what was hers. She stood her ground but when the soldiers came with a palace official they forced the woman and her son out of their way, entered the building and began to customise all the properties in the name of the King. Akiza with the mother stood outside and their was tears in his eyes. The palace official sent by the King of Dodo who led the troops walked up to Akiza's mother and standing before her he smiled wickedly,
"You should be careful with your tongue next time. It baffles me and I have always wanted to ask my King, how a mere woman from an obscured place comes to our land and suddenly joins the league of the richest in Dodo. Now you have nothing you should return to the dirt whence you came" The official had his men seal the building with the King's color, ousted her and took with them the men assigned to her by the King and confiscated all her lands.
There was nowhere to sleep that night except in the home of the friends Akiza's mother made; her best friend. The rich woman welcomed her but with a warning;
"You know that the King will look for you, to know if you have left the land or not and if he finds you here he may decide to have me share in your fate, a thing I wouldn't want to be part of""Thank you for welcoming me into your home Aromo my good friend but you must help me by allowing my son stay here with you and your daughter this night" Said Akiza's mother.
"What about you?" asked the woman.
"I will be somewhere very important, a place that I must be, but you must help me accomadate my son" Akiza's mother had wanted to move away through the door when Akiza held her by the hand and forbade her to leave without him.
"I promised to stand with you till the end to heed your words, till I take back what is mine. This might just be a way the gods are telling us it is time for us to go take back home and take back what is ours" Said Akiza but his mother wasn't ready to go to where she was going with her son. She held him by the shoulders and said to him; "You must stay here my son. I will return in the morning and then we will go home" The son didn't say anything further, he simply nodded, trying hard to prevent tears from his eyes. The mother turned to go but stopped, turned again to face her son and then gave him a dirty slap across the face."Shed tears again and you will bear my name while I bear yours" turning to Aromo her friend Akiza's mother asked for a horse.
Akiza's mother rode off into the darkness of the night. Aromo stared until she could see her no more then she turned to the young man standing beside her, "Are you a virgin?" She asked and Akiza didn't expect this as he shockingly turned to stare into her eyes. He was dumbfounded and unable to find words to say. The woman held him by the shoulder with her left hand and added, "Should we find out if you are one?"
The mother of magic could not speak to Samata because she had lost her son Akiza to the cold hands of death and she was no longer interested to respond to anyone. She was not ready to have any word with anyone any longer and Aromo disgusted her more than she could tell. She walked out of the cave while Aromo followed her from the back and so was the mother of magic. When they were outside Samata headed straight to her dragon, she mounted it and then rode off. Immediately she left Aromo turned to face the mother of magic and the woman looked at her suspiciously now waiting to hear what she had to say."I have to go back to Abumu" she just said and made straight to where her men were standing and waiting for her. "You have to be careful Aromo. Things are no longer as they seem. You just have to be careful" mother of magic cautioned her but Aromo who no longer wanted to keep on making a demand to have access to her own dragon was broken in the spirit. She mounted her horse and so did h
In the land of Abumu Ralf who had begun to sense this plan amongst the bandits to overthrow him and his Mistress had begun to make plans on how to address them so they wouldn't go about whispering behind his back further and because of this he called for a meeting of his second in command; the one who asked of him when the ones with Ralf in the bar where Ralf met Aromo for the first time returned to their base without Ralf. The second in command looked wicked and he rarely smiled. He was known to be prone to punishing the bandits that failed to live up to what was expected of them. He was ruthless, more ruthless than Ralf and his name was Lomi. He was not a man of many words and it was said that if a man is know for few words that man will be known for many deeds. That night while Ralf sat in one of the rooms of the palace of Abumu he was sure that nothing was going to make him give up the position that Aromo had given him without a fight. First he decided to have a meeting with Lomi
It was late at night when Amanda was heading to the well in the palace to fetch some water with a bucket. Suddenly someone came to her front and stood there. She was startled at first until she recognized the face of the one standing there. She didn't want a situation whereby she would scream and awake others in the palace. She needed that water so as to bath and she needed the young man to step away from her front. That was Ohu, one of the palace male servants who had refused to let her be. He had been pestering her to accept to be his woman but time and again she had made it clear to him that they would never have anything in common. That night what Ohu wanted was to let her know he was aware of what she did with Akiza before he went into coma and his mother had to take him away on the dragon. When he mentioned this she was startled and she looked at him gloomily and wondered how he saw it. She dropped the bucket in her hand and asked, "What do you mean by that?" "What it means is t
Amanda the maid whom Akiza slept with and became sick had hid in one of the rooms where the maids were allowed to stay and while she sat there she kept shivering for she could not understand what happened; why Akiza was dying, and she hid there for two days without food or water. When she finally stepped out she didn't need anyone to tell her that the Queen had taken her son away on her dragon and nobody knew where she was taking him to but none questioned her, not even the physicians who were attending to her son. When Akiza's mother reached the gods cave in Dodo she dismounted her dragon and helped her son down from him. She then looked directly towards the cave and paused for a second. She felt strange and somehow she suspected all was not well. She then turned to the dragon letting him know to be alert and the dragon growled. Samata then was about entering the cave when suddenly Aromo stepped out holding onto the mother of magic and forcing her to move with a sword pointing at her
The Prophetess was back to give the Chief of the Diadoma tribe the feedback and she was smiling as she sat with him once again, ofcourse she tried her best to keep her smile so real to avoid the fat man noticing she didn't like him. The Chief was eager to hear what Lume had to say to his proposal. "You see my lord, sorry my Chief, you already know just like I told you earlier that the lady you are asking to come to bed with you is a daughter of a Prophetess but then I made a promise to talk her to it and somehow she accepted but...but there is a condition attached to it" "whatever the condition may be" the fat man sounded excited and this irritated the Prophetess the more and she wondered what exactly was wrong with the old man. She however didn't want to spoil the whole thing as she went further to tell him that already Lume had accepted to be with him for that night but on the condition that the Chief wasn't going to see her face as he made love to her. At this the the Chief didn't
When Aromo regained herself fully she walked to the seat kept for her in the middle of the compound of the palace of Abumu and then sat down in it. After he had sat down she looked towards Princess Damina who was made to kneel before her with her hands bound behind her back. "You should have done the right thing, you should have remained with me and followed my moves but you were overcome by your cling to the past and now the past is about to ruin your life. Did you actually want me dead, What were you thinking? if you had succeeded in killing me surely Ralf wouldn't have let you walk away" "I knew all of that when I decided to have you killed. I already decided my faith by now. You survived that sword because you have magic running in veins. Yes, I failed and I know what your judgement will be; death. Go on and sentence me but Incase you ever get the opportunity to meet with Akiza again, let him know that I love him still and will always love him" "Oh how romantic. Ofcourse I'm
The entry of Samata into the land of Dodo was a scary one for the people as they began to run Helter skelter. The dragon obeyed the command given him by Samata and began to rain down fire on the roofs of the homes of the people of Dodo. The people ran out of their burning houses and while they ran through the streets the fire from the breath of the dragon swept them off their feet and they began to burn, to scream and to die. The Priest remained in his house and waited in prayer. He knew there was nothing he could do. When he heard the heavy sounds outside his house was when he stepped out. He stepped out to meet Samata standing in his compound with her dragon growling loudly in the air. When he stepped outside he knelt before her and Samata walked up to him in her Queenly regalia. "My own people turned against me!!!" she was visibly angry and her eyes were red with fury. "I didn't know of this my Queen. When I got the opportunity to talk sense into your subjects it was already too
In the land of Akozo, Akiza walked to the dragon while it curled up outside the palace building. When he came to him he saw he was feeding on a human. He knew of his mother's arrest of all the men and women that surrendered during the battle in the palace and her plan to be feeding them to her creature. As he stood there a soldier walked up to him to inform him of his mother's demand for his presence. He walked to the throne room and met her pacing angrily. She stopped and began, "A troubling news I have received and it angers me as well; the people of Dodo are no longer with me and they have killed the officials in the palace of Dodo and equally attempted to kill the Prophetess. They have turned against me but they have made the worst mistake of their lives. How could they? have they not been told of what I did with my dragon in the palace of Dodo, do they think I can not do the same to them? I will ride to Dodo at first light and I will ride not on a horse or on a chariot but on my
Begging was enough, besides Aromo was not ready to hurt Princess Damina and when she stood facing her where she knelt she asked her to be on her feet which she did and she walked closer to her and asked, "You know that your father wasn't good to me right?" Damina nodded with tears in her eyes. "I heard you loved sex, you stopped?" asked Aromo but the Princess didn't answer, wondering how Aromo got to know about her sexual life. Could it be that Akiza was sharing what they had together with others behind her back? "Well" continued Aromo, "I would have you here with me but already you know that the plan is not to remain here but to take what belongs to these people from the man who took it from them. Here is Abumu and these people belong here" She moved outside and the Princess followed suit. They both stood at the entrance of the tent. "It will soon get dark. I know you must be famished and so you need to eat" Aromo beckoned on one of the men and asked that Damina be served. As Damina
