Chapter VII

"What were you thinking!" Amorivia shouts at the lost boy. She was upset that he dove into the water and then kissed her!

"I was trying to save you!" The lost boy reasoned.

"Trying to save me?! You kissed me!"

"No! I gave you air to breathe!"

Their face were inches away from each other, both of them frowning and soaked. Amorivia's breathing heaved, her nose wrinkling and her mouth shut just glaring at the lost boy. He's doing the same exact thing.

"It's cold," she muttered.

That's when the lost boy's face softened and realized she's shivering. "I should get you another clothes then."

"How? You live in a branch! You wear the same piece of clothing!"

"Doesn't mean I'm smelly. You're smelly!"

Amorivia scoffed. "How mean!"

The lost boy laughed and told her to wait at that shore. "Can't I come? There might be some creatures who'd—"

"Just beware of the mermaids. Some of them are quite feisty. Don't ever step back to the water and if you hear a melodic song, cover your ears."

Before Amorivia could hold the lost boy's hand, he flew away and now she's alone. Scared of what the lost boy told her about the mermaids. Her conception of these mythical creatures are all wrong, she thought they were nice.

Amorivia sighed and laid down the sand. "It's such a tiring day," she murmurs. Before she knew it, she had fallen asleep.

The lost boy flew away looking for decent clothes for Amorivia to wear. He first saw boar skins and of the wild animals but he's pretty sure the lady won't wear such stinky skins.

He then went and saw leaves, big ones that could cover her but then he thought it wouldn't keep her warm. So, he went to the elves territory.

"Gutlyfifiigorrgutsa!" The lost boy barge in unannounced. But more or less, the elves doesn't really care about the lost boy being in their territory. As long as he doesn't hurt anyone from their kind then it's all good.[Greetings!]

"Insheiuig sheiuonfi grevoie chuorofi shefilyfi feruoly?" Asked the crown princess of the elves. [What have you come here for?]

The lost boy scratches the back of his head and smiled flatteringly at the princess. The princess looked away, blushing a little.

"O... chiurofi feruoly chheuoigshefisa," the lost boy muttered. [I... came for clothes]

It shocked the princess of the elves. She once offered him to change his clothes before, but he would refuse. Now that he's asking for such, it made her wonder.

"Iuhelyyogutsheig," the princess said, smiling sweetly at the lost boy.

The lost boy smiled back and then flew away in a flash. It froze the princess. I thought he wanted clothes, she thought and sighed. Maybe he'll come back later.

•••

The lost boy flew back to the shore and his eyes widened when he saw the mermaids slowly pulling the sleeping Amorivia into the water. What a pain, he thought and hurried down.

He hissed and grunts at the mermaids which made them go away like seals, bouncing into the water.

"She had fallen asleep," he murmurs and carried her in his arms. He needs to get her to the elves to dress her up.

The sight of the lost boy carrying a lady in his arms surprised the elves. They thought he had killed the lady but then it moved.

"Oh my! Who is that?" Asked the princess.

"She's the lady and you said you can dress her. She's soaked," he innocently uttered.

"Well then," the princess stated. "Please, take her and dress her nicely," she commanded.

Immediately, Amorivia was taken inside the elves home. The princess didn't like Amorivia at all.

"I'll come back later to get her. Please be nice to her," the lost boy reminded and left.

The smile on the princess's face slowly faded. Now, where did this girl came from? Why was the lost boy taking care of her? These questions were running inside the princess's pretty mind.

***

Amorivia felt comfortable in where she was laying. It felt like she was in her bed. She slowly open her eyes and saw a ball of light hanging at the ceiling. At first she thought it was a lightbulb but then it moved and flew closer to her. It made her lean back.

She just realized that it was some kind of furry ball that has round hands and legs. It has big eyes and a cute mouth. It's adorable, she thought.

When Amorivia tried to touch it, it flew to the other corner of the room. It made her look around. She wasn't familiar with this place. Was she captured by the mermaids or the fairies?

Then she looked down and her eyes widened when she saw she was wearing a beautiful tulle blue dress that has some flower designs embedded on it. She smiled, standing up and twirling around happily at the room.

Slowly the furry ball's eyes were filled with sparkles. The way Amorivia was being happy made it feel warmth inside. It slowly came close to her.

Amorivia stopped and stare at the furry ball again. Again, she tried to reach out and touch the ball. Luckily it seemed like it had trusted her and she touched the ball. It was like petting a bunny. Its fur is so soft and it was fluffy.

"Warm!"

The fur ball's shout made her let go.

"You can speak!" She exclaimed in excitement.

"Uh-huh!" The furball said, nodding.

"Do you know where we are? And what are you?"

The furball thought hard about it. What was he? He doesn't know what they really were but for the elves they were just furball's the light up the Elves' houses. He didn't know what they exactly were so he answered. "We're at the elves' kingdom. The princess brought you inside this room."

"The princess..." she murmured. Princess of the Elves, she wonder what she looks like.

It didn't take long and they heard a knock on the door. The fur ball immediately went back to the carved spot at the ceiling. Now, Amorivia can't see his big eyes.

The door opened and it shifted her gaze, from up to the one at the door. The lady wore a tiara made of flowers, her hair was silver and long, she had pointed ears and she was enchanting. This must be the princess, Amorivia thought and immediately bowed down.

"I'm sorry to have caused you trouble," she said, unable to look up.

The princess smiled at the human girl. It was a fake one for she was envy of this girl having to spend time with the lost boy.

"He hasn't come back yet. I thought I should take care of you," The princess smiled brightly at Amorivia.

Amorivia frowned trying to remember who hasn't come back yet and her eyes widened when she did. That lost boy! He said he'd come for me!
