Chapter VI

"May I ask you something?" Amorivia asked.

"What is it, Amorivia?"

For the first time, she noticed the lost boy didn't add lady.

"Uhm... I heard the chief troll earlier. He said he would catch you and your captain."

She heard the lost boys chuckle and it made her face him. He was looking at the big moon. "That wasn't even a question. That was more of a statement, Amorivia."

Somewhat she feels comfortable now that he doesn't add 'lady'.

"Why was he after you?"

The lost boy looked down and stopped sharpening his knife. "Why do you think Captain Hook was always after Peter?"

"I don't know. Because Peter was careless? And he always provoke Captain Hook?" She wasn't really sure why. Perhaps she forgot or didn't pay attention why Captain Hook was angry at Peter.

"The chief troll, Pesky is fundamentally offended by our character. He doesn't like being gay, heartless and innocent. He wants us to grow up and act mature like—" the lost boy stopped when he realized he was getting carried off.

"Do you want to see the Pixies instead?" Smoothly changing the subject, he plastered a grin.

"Will Tinker Bell be—"

"When Peter returned to take Jane, Tinker Bell was nowhere. His fairy died the year after Wendy and her brothers went home and Peter forgot about her." He stopped to look at the frozen girl. "Just so you know."

Amorivia thought deeply about what the lost boy told her. She's really confused with everything in this world but told herself to believe what she sees. Well, she doesn't really have a lot of options. If she ever leave without the lost boy, she'd be dead in no time like earlier with the trolls.

"Would it be fine if we look at the pixies?" She asked, looking straight at the lost boy's beautiful eyes.

"Of course, if you just follow my lead." He showed her a big bright smile.

"I would be delighted!"

The lost boy stands up and reached a hand in the air which Amorivia gladly took. It is only when the boy touches her that she can fly.

"What magic do your touch have, for only I can fly when you touch me," Amorivia told him.

"I don't know," he muttered. "Ready to fly?"

"Yes!"

They jump off from that branch. They were falling. Then when they almost touch the ground, the lost boy had flown back up. It was scary for Amorivia, she didn't like the thought of falling.

"Don't be frightened, Amorivia. As long as I'm with you, you don't have to worry about falling," he assured her.

Amorivia was traumatized by her first fall and she doesn't want to fall again and wake up in a faraway land with the strangest creatures.

Not so far away, she could see a flare in the forest. It was yellowish and it sparkled gold. It must be the pixies, she thought. Then suddenly a light like of a shooting star passed her. It happened again, and again and again that she smiled.

The lost boy saw that smile and he had to stare at her. If this was what they call beautiful then he was staring at it. "Not all of them are friendly."

"Do you understand them?" Amorivia asked.

"Aye, and let's go down."

They went down and peeked at the gathered pixies. The Enchanted Forest is home to the fairies north of the Tree of Light where the lost boy sleeps.

"They're so tiny!" She exclaimed in excitement.

The lost boy immediately shut her up by covering her mouth with his hand. "Shh! We must not be heard or they'll turn vaguely red and attack us."

"But fairies in movies and in books doesn't attack—"

"We're not in movies nor books, Amorivia, lady. Peter and Wendy danced in the air circled by fairies, the fairies here doesn't do that." He stopped and pointed at the rocks forming a big circle. "Those are called rock rings. Enter that and they'll make you dance with them. I'll be seeing you tomorrow or another decade, dead and tired."

It shocked Amorivia to the bones. Never in her wildest fantasy could she imagine that fairies would be this way. "H-how do you know all about this?"

"One of the lost boys was deceived by one of the pixies. He entered the circle, danced with the fairies, and we found him dead the next morning," he explained and look sharply at her. "One day is a year. They'll return you when you're dead. So stay away from the tricksters."

Amorivia noted. So far Dilly and the bunnies are her allies in this fake Neverland of hers, aside from the lost boy of course.

"How long have you been lost in here?" She asked, not looking at the boy but at the fairies.

"A long time," he answered timidly.

"Don't you ever want to go back to your fam—"

"Never!" He yelled that made her jolt.

The loud sound of wings flapping and bells tinkling made them stop staring at each other. They look at the fairies and the glow had turned red.

"Oh-oh..." The lost boy had disturbed the pixies gathering and now they're mad. He immediately grab Amorivia's hand and flew away.

"What should we do? They're tailing us!" He hears Amorivia shouts.

The lost boy looked back and plastered a mischievous grin. It made Amorivia think of something not so good. That look she knew was trouble!

"Are you ready to dive?" The lost boy asked her.

"Dive? What?" She asked frowning. Their at speed and the fairies are still behind them. This was not what she imagined would happen when he asked her to see Pixies!

Suddenly the lost boy stopped. "What are you doing?!" Her voice loud and full of worry.

The lost boy just smirked facing the pixies who're on their way to do something brutal to them. Brutal? But they're so tiny. How could pixies possibly do something like—

Before Amorivia could end her thought, they were already falling down the water. "Ahh!" She yells and off when they hit the water.

She doesn't know how to swim and she slowly submerged deep under. Air wasn't of her reach anymore and she could only see the glitters from the surface.

To die will be an awfully big adventure...

Amorivia heard a voice quoting that again before she could close her eyes. She accepted that this was her last moment when suddenly she felt someone breathing her back to life.

She couldn't quite figure it out but she was breathing fine. She slowly open her eyes and was surprised to see the lost boy's face so close to hers. That's when she realized the lost boy had kissed her!
