Chapter 6

"I will increase your salary next month"he said seriously. 

I was very surprised and happy with what he told me and Beth was also happy to hear that from Sir Elijah.But I was surprised when he spoke again and i was saddened by what I heard from him. 

"But you have to pay for the vase you broke," he said. 

"Do you know how much is that?"he asked. 

I was very depressed when I heard the value of the Vase I broke.I looked at Beth and I could see the frustration in her eyes. I just nodded to Sir Elijah to agree with what he said and went back to the kitchen. I really don't know why I can't stop myself from crying at those times.I don't know if I should let my parents know everything or just keep it to myself.I will definitely be able to stay in the mansion for a long time and I don't know when I can go back to studying. 

"It's your fault and now you're going to cry there?" I was surprised to hear Sir Elijah's voice behind me. 

I didn't know what I was going to say.I had no right to be mad at him because I knew it was all my fault. I am so careless and stupid so i deserve it all. 

"I'll pay for the vase Sir" I replied. 

"It must be! I'm not picking up the money I bought there!"he replied firmly and turned his back on me. 

I just clung to my chest and took a deep breath.Not a day goes by that Sir Elijah doesn't scold me for my mistakes. But it seems like everything I do is wrong in his eyes.

"Are you okay?" Beth asked while patting my shoulder. 

"I'm okay Beth" I replied and forced a smile. 

"I know you Bailey so I know you were really hurt by what Sir Elijah told you"she said.

"I thought I could give more to my parents but it seems like I'll stay here longer," I replied sadly.

"Yes. Your debt has increased,"she replied. 

"But you always want to see Sir Elijah, don't you?"she teased. 

"Not anymore! I also have to go back to my studies" I replied. 

Even if I deny to Beth about how I feel for Sir Elijah, she still won't believe me. She knows how much I like Sir Elijah despite his bad behavior.She just shook her head and said goodbye to take a rest.It's already late night and only the two of us were probably awake in the mansion.

When I entered the room, I thought of calling my mother but I couldn't contact her.I couldn't help but worry about how they were doing.I just looked at our family picture in my wallet until I fell asleep.

The next day I woke up early and immediately got up to take a shower and get dressed.Then I went to the kitchen to help Beth prepare breakfast. I think I had the trauma of going to the Garden again.Beth also noticed that I was lethargic today. 

"Why do you look like a dump?"she asked me.

"I'm fine," I replied. 

" I guess It's about last night,right?"she asked me. 

I nodded at what she said and sighed as I cut the condiment. Beth held my hand to ease my mood.

"Bailey, I know you're too young to get into this job so I understand you.We were born poor so we have to sacrifice. But you know we're still lucky because we have a complete family unlike Sir Elijah" Beth said calmly. 

I thought about what she said and became interested to know about Sir Elijah's family. I didn't know anything about his family because since I entered this mansion I haven't met even one of his family. He only lived with the two guards,Beth and me. 

I can't imagine how miserable his life is.

"Since I worked at the mansion I haven't seen his family visit here," I said.

"Where are his parents and siblings? Are they in another country?" I asked curiously. 

I saw Beth sighed before she spoke and told a story about Sir Elijah's life. I couldn't believe what I heard from her and I felt pity. 

"Sir Elijah was young when his mother left them for another man" said Beth. 

"Three years since his mother left them, his father fell ill and died.His mother did not even show up to him when he needed her," he added. 

"Doesn't he have siblings?" I asked. 

"He's the only child and the only heir and CEO of the Jackson company" Beth replied with a smile.

We were not able to finished our conversation when we heard Sir Elijah coming down the stairs.We hurried to put the food on the table and Sir Elijah noticed it and frowned. 

"Why do you seem to be chased there? Don't you know how expensive the dish You are holding is?"he asked emphatically. 

"I'm sorry sir" Beth apologized.

"You bailey!You owe me a lot so can you not add more mistakes! "he preached to me. 

"Your family is just expecting you, you're still stupid!"he said seriously and shook his head. 

I admit that I was really hurt by what he said but every time I think of mom and dad I feel even more encouraged.

While he was eating in front of me, I couldn't help but stare at his very handsome face but the hidden sadness was obvious in his eyes. He caught me staring at him so he scolded me again for a superficial reason.

"You've been scolded again for your illusion!" Beth's sermon.

"Why is he always mad at me? Is it bad to look at him?" I asked. 

"It's not bad but Bailey, look and stare were really different ," he replied and left. 

I just smiled while washing the dishes in the sink.I need to do my job well so he will not scold me again.Suddenly the mobile radio rang so I stopped. 

"I need you in my room now"he said seriously.

I felt nervous and many things were going through my mind.I immediately washed my hands and went upstairs. I quickly entered his room and I saw him facing the mirror while adjusting the necktie on top of the long sleeve.He became even more handsome and attractive in what he was wearing.I could also smell his very attractive perfume. 

"Why are you staring at me like that?"he asked. 

It was also a few seconds before I realized that I was just staring at him at that time.I was very ashamed of my actions and apologized to him. 

"I'm sorry sir. What can I do for you?" I asked gently.

"Clean my room now" he ordered.

I immediately went in to clean his room and he also left immediately.I was left alone and sat on his bed for a while.I could still smell his perfume sticking to his blanket and bed.I was shocked when I touched something white on his bed.

"Oh my God!" I said in disgust.

Even though I was still innocent and had no experience in sex,I knew it was a man's sperm so I wondered if Sir Elijah had brought a woman last night.I put all the bedsheets in the basket and went downstairs.I went straight to the Laundry area to wash it immediately.After i washed the bedsheets i went to the kitchen to ask Beth about it.

"Beth, I have a question for you," I said. 

"What is that?"she asked. 

"Did Sir Elijah bring a woman to his room last night?" I asked.

"Stop it Bailey, if you don't want to have a debt again"she replied. 

Beth didn't answer my question and shook her head. I knew what she was thinking so I immediately told her what I saw. She laughed at what I said because it was obvious from my questions that I was still innocent in that regard. I couldn't help but disgust when Beth told me about her experience with her Ex Boyfriend.She said it was normal for men even without a woman.I wasn't convinced by her answer so i thought of going to the two guards.

"Brother Marco, I would like to ask you something," I said, smiling. 

"What's that Bailey?"he asked me. 

"Did Sir Elijah bring a woman last night?" I asked curiously.

"I didn't see any woman last night, why are you asking?" Marco asked.

"Nothing,thank you" I replied. 

I went back to the mansion and went up to his room.I was like crazy imagining what Sir Elijah was doing with his woman in bed.I don't know anything about that but every time I think another woman makes him happy I get hurt. 

"I hope one day you will notice me,Sir Elijah," I said to myself. 

After I changed the bed sheet and put a new blanket on his bed, I sat down for a while and lay down. It felt good to lie down on the soft and wide bed. I closed my eyes for a moment to feel the smoothness of bed but I didn't realize that I had fallen asleep.When I woke up, I got up on the bed immediately but my eyes widened when I saw Sir Elijah in front of me.
