I wasn’t certain how long I would be stuck with the Alpha, but I knew it would take time for Rory to find the appropriate voltage and for us to scope out a location that wouldn’t draw attention. There was one thing still bothering me as I walked into my parent’s home and made my way to my childhood bedroom. I had been told that Lucas was intending to kidnap the King’s daughter when I had been assigned to kill him. Even with the mate bond, it didn’t make sense to me that he would have gone through all the trouble to find me if that were still his plan. I decided I needed to talk to him. All thoughts of a conversation fled from my mind when I entered my room to find Lucas sprawled out in my bed.
