            My hands trembled in my lap as I sat on the exam table waiting for the pack physician to return. Something was wrong, but I didn’t know what. Though I had done well to hide it, I hadn’t been able to shake the fatigue that cause Lucas to send me to the pack hospital a few weeks before. I didn’t want to worry him with the threat of the guild moving on his territory. He had already had one close call with an assassin, I didn’t need my health distracting him on patrol.
