The next morning, Brandon cornered me at the office.

I'd just got off the elevator, when he jumped out of a corner, looking flustered and ... very disheveled. I jerked back a step, almost spilling the contents of the cup in my hand. If I had spilled even a drop of the coffee, Richmond would've had have my head. or at least he would've talked me to death about the importance of efficiency.

"um, hi." I cocked my head. "Do I want to know why you were hiding back there?"

he shook his head, looking flustered. "Probably not." after a moment, he sighed. "I was hoping to catch you."

"Ah, I still don't understand."

"Just in case you were avoiding me." I must've still looked confused. he spluttered. "I-its just that me and my brother didn't exactly behave...accordingly the other day and I just..."

"You wanted to see if it'd scared me off?"

He shook his head. "No. yes." he sighed. "I came to apologize, we shouldn't have made the center of our childish feud."
