POV DEFNE

At this very moment, my greatest battle was against my own body.

I was standing in front of the huge window of my new apartment. Everything here was too perfect, luxurious, and unreal. I had a black credit card in my purse and the keys to my new life in my hands, yet I felt more imprisoned than ever.

My ribs were still stitching with pain from Berat's blows, as a constant reminder that, until just twenty-four hours ago, my life was full of debt and abuse.

Suddenly, the sound of the electronic lock broke the silence. My heart started beating so fast that I thought it would jump out of my chest. I knew it was him.

I didn't need to look to know that the man had bought me, the man who had saved me, and the one who was now coming to claim his share of the bargain.

Adem Sahenk did not announce his arrival. I heard his footsteps against the marble, like the walk of a beast that does not ask permission to take its prey.

I closed my eyes, trying to hide my nervousness, but when I felt his presence right behind me, the air became so desirable that it was impossible for me to breathe.

"Turn around, Defne."

I turned slowly. Adem was still wearing the same suit as in the afternoon, but he had already loosened his tie and unbuttoned the first buttons of his shirt. She looked dangerous, imposing, and her eyes were so dark that they seemed to me like a dead end. Its scent of expensive perfume made me completely dizzy, flooding my senses until I forgot who I was.

"Have you used the card?" He asked as he shortened the distance between us, his chest almost touching mine.

"Yes... I paid the first installment of my parents' debts. "I whispered lowering my gaze. I felt small in front of him, an employee bought by his boss.

He let out a small laugh and with a quick movement put his hand on his chin, forcing me to look at him. His grip was firm and possessive,

"Then you know why I'm here. I told you that ecstasy was the only thing I would accept as payment, precious." She remembered me and the precious word in her mouth sounded like a caress and a sentence at once.

Before I could answer, his lips smashed against mine. It was not a delicate kiss, it was a sentence. It tasted of hunger, power, and a desperate need that took my breath away. I moaned against her mouth, I was torn between feeling surprise and the desire that my mind tried to reject with all its might but that my body accepted with intensity. My hands clutched his jacket, searching for some balance amid the mess his lips were wreaking on me.

He pushed me against the window. I felt the hardness of his muscles against my skin and that sensation shook me again with more force. His hands went down my back with an urgency that made me arch towards him, completely forgetting that this man had a wife and a daughter, forgetting that I was just an assistant.

"Say my name, Defne." He growled against my neck, as his lips continued to kiss my skin. "Forget Mr. Sahenk. Tonight it's just you and me."

"In addition..." I gasped.

I picked myself up tightly, and instinctively wrapped my legs around her waist. He took me to the main room while still kissing me. It made me feel protected and claimed at the same time. As he laid me on the silk sheets, I saw his face and saw in him an obsession that made me tremble.

She quickly shed her clothes, revealing her fit body, full of invisible scars from a life filled with luxury and loneliness. When he positioned himself over me, I saw again the bruises that Berat had left on my ribs, and in his eyes they shone with fury.

"I'm going to erase every trace that wretch left on you." He sentenced. "From now on only my marks will be on your skin... And they will not be marks of pain."

What happened was a whirlwind of sensations that I never felt. His hands explored every corner of my body with determination. Every time his lips touched my wounds, I felt like something inside me was healing and breaking at the same time. The ecstasy he sought was not just physical; it was the absolute surrender of my will.

When he finally penetrated me, I felt like the rest of the world was disappearing. The pain of my past, my parents' debts, Enise's attitude... everything was erased under Adem's intensity. His movements were strong, pushing me to a limit that made me beg more. I moaned his name over and over again, losing control, handing him every piece of my heart that was still left.

He watched me as he possessed me, looking for a spark in my eyes. His fingers intertwined with mine, pressing them against the pillows.

"Look at me, Defne. I want you to see who's doing this to you." He ordered me, and as soon as our eyes connected in the middle of the body, I knew there was no turning back.

The pleasure was so intense that it clouded my vision. The ecstasy was my own destruction and salvation at the same time.

Hours later, while he slept next to me, I stared at the ceiling. My body continued to vibrate from his touch.

I knew that this was a huge mistake, that he was a married man and that I was falling into an abyss from which I would not emerge unscathed. But when I felt the warmth of his hand hugging my waist, I knew I would rather burn in this sin with him than live a second longer in the pain of my previous life.

The forbidden is what attracts the most and I already belonged to it body and soul.

The contract was signed and ecstasy was only the beginning of my downfall.

POV ADEMIn my world, weakness is paid for with life or with empire.I adjusted my gold cufflinks in front of my office mirror, staring at the man Istanbul feared: Adem Sahenk, the impeccable CEO, the perfect heir, the man who fourteen years ago agreed to chain himself to Enise Aydinlar only to inherit my father's company. Or maybe like that part of me that had allowed itself to be trampled on by a man who wasn't worth it.Adem was gone, but he had left a black envelope on the table. Berat was sitting on the sofa, with a half-drunk bottle of whiskey and evil peeking into his eyes."Where's the money, Defne?""I haven't been paid the bonus yet, you know that I just started working in the company..." I tried to back off, looking for something to defend myself with because I knew what was coming, but he was faster. In less than a minute, he was already upon me. His hands that had once caressed my hand with love, now closed over my arms with brutal hatred."I don't give a shit if you haven't been paid! He screamed, shaking my body hard.
