CHAPTER 69: NIGHTMARE

I woke to hear the sound of banging from my kitchen and I lifted my head off my pillow. It was one of those mornings where I longed to stay in bed until evening with my duvet and coffee refills until wine time. All of which was needed in my life right now.

The space beside me was empty and going by the banging I heard from the kitchen, I'm guessing Jeremy is in there making breakfast. I reached across and looked at my alarm clock.

"6:30"I groaned and lay back looking up at the ceiling. I have to be at the studio at 8. Having him here was like having a backup alarm clock in case my actual alarm fails me. Jeremy never does.

He's an early riser... I like that about him. I like that he's making the effort to say at my apartment too, even though he'd rather be at the mansion sleeping in expensive Egyptian cotton sheets and having his maid make his meals and wash his clothes. Here he has to do that for himself.
