‘No, we won’t. We’re allowed to wolf out,’ Myla responded, feeling a surge of power coursing through her veins. Her bones tingled as she prepared to shift. The beauty of New York was that anyone in control of their wolf could transform anytime, anywhere.

‘We disobeyed an alpha’s direct order in his pack,’ Wyla retorted.

Myla’s eyes widened – this could be a major problem. Thankfully, Noah was nice, right?

At this point, Myla had completed her transformation. It had been so quick – maybe everyone else exaggerated their complaints. The process was surprisingly painless.

Wyla was ecstatic to be in control, evident from how she ran and howled. Her silver and white fur sparkled in the lights, drawing curious glances from those who saw her. She had to admit her coat was pretty rare.

Breaking away from the crowd and the bustling streets, she dashed into the woods. Her speed had dramatically increased; she felt invigorated.
