Ariel's POV continues

The doorknob was twisted and Adrian walked in. The sight of him made me anxious, angry, and hopeful. Three feelings at once. I'll be glad if I leave this Mansion without getting hypertension.

He had boxes of roses, a bottle of wine, and two glasses.

"Good morning Ariel." He drops the boxes of sweet-smelling roses on the bed. The smell was pleasant but I didn't act fazed a bit but I loved his gesture. His voice made my stomach twist into knots, breaking every fiber in my bones.

I sat up and rolled my eyes at his gifts. Adrian looked like shit. His eyes lost their shine, the good of his skin was dull. He was still wearing the clothes from last night's party. "Good morning."

"I want to talk to you about yesterday I didn't..."

No shit we won't be doing this. "It's okay Adrian. I don't want to get stuck in that absurd situation. It's okay, I have no right to dictate what you do."
