“What just happened?”

Debby poked her head in through the slightly ajar door as she looked around the room as if trying to find something. “I just leave for a bathroom break for two seconds and I come back to find Brandon leaving the room like a sad, little puppy that’s been kicked to the curb?”

“Come in, Debby.” I sighed, knowing I was in for a lecture. “And shut the door behind you.”

“Aye, aye!” She did as she was told and then she came and sat on the chair next to the bed that Brandon had occupied not too long ago. “So…wanna tell me what you just did?
