Chapter 19
Nate went back to his room, feeling angry at himself. What was he thinking about kissing her impulsively? And why did he have to go and tell her it was a mistake. It must’ve hurt her feelings, and that was the last thing he wanted.
He couldn’t imagine what she might be thinking right now. He knew for a fact that he wasn’t entirely over Destiny, so it was unfair for him to confuse Amelia like that. He couldn’t give her his heart since it was already broken.
A knock on the door snapped him back to reality. “Who is it?” he asked in an annoyed tone. He was in no mood for company right now.
“Open the door, Nate,” Amelia spoke from the other side.
He wasn’t expecting her. He figured he would be the last person she would want to see after that kiss. He opened the door and let her in.
