Chapter 42 "No Talk?"

Ashely P.O.V.

After Jayson and his father and his new girlfriend and her son left. I was in my room. My parents went to bed.

"But don't sit comfortably, princess," I felt heat moving up and down my body from his growl. I know he wasn't happy when I smiled over at his brother, stepbrother. I heard him behind me say.

Now it's been an hour since Jayson and the others. So now I am lying on my bed with a book in my hands. I was so lost in the new book the assistant at the bookstore took me down the aisle, and I asked what was good to read?

So, she looked at me, and she had a smirk on her face. That was when she dragged me.

Now I am in front of a large shelf staring at different colored books I want to grab and take home. Of course, I wanted to buy the whole store. But that's a bad idea.

She walked closer, and I saw her grab a pink and black book, and I saw the title. So I knew I had heard about this book. But am I brave enough to buy and read it?
