“Leo?” I called out, pushing the door to his office open, but he wasn’t inside.

The silence in the room was uncomfortable, and I felt a cold chill down my spine. There wasn’t even a sign that Leo had been there.

He didn’t even sleep in our bed last night. He usually returned to bed in the morning if he slept in his office, but today, there was nothing.

I shook my head and thought maybe he had gone out to see Rylan again, since he had been spending more time at his house lately.

But it didn’t sit right with me that he was convinced beyond a reasonable doubt that Catherine was innocent. He was even willing to find her wherever she was, so he could expose those who framed her.

Not only that, but he believed she was still his mate. But I’d never let him get back to her, not when I lost my mate as well.

Leo was my husband, and the Crescent Moon Pack was my home. It was too late for either of us to move on now.
