BE MY WIFE, ACT LIKE ONE

CHAPTER 4: BE MY WIFE, ACT LIKE ONE

“She did not eat?” Romanov removed his glasses.

Aiden stood before him. His eyes are on the floor as he reported. Anna still refuses to touched her food. If it continues, she’ll go sick and for unknown reason, it worries him. But perhaps, it wasn’t because he cares, but by the fact that he was anticipating what would may his Lord does. It was least for the entire Salvador’s men to hear that he married a woman, who drugged him the other night. Much more to think that Anna became a missus—Mrs. Salvador and everybody was curious why he married her, when there’s a lot of candidate proposing underneath the powerful Romanov Salvador. A heir and a billionaire, who rise up to Power at young age.

Romanov was recognized by the Forbes, and were featured to different magazines. Women swoon and drool as he walked, but nobody have gotten his attention, so why Anna now?

“She haven’t been eating since she was locked up there, Sir, “ said Aiden. “I am afraid that if she continue, her health will deteriorate—”

“Bring her to me then.”

What he said caught Aiden’s attention, “Sir?”

“Do I need to repeat myself?” Romanov’s tone sounds displeased.

Aiden quickly composed himself, “N—No, Sir.” He was quick. “I’ll bring Ms. Mason to you—”

“It’s not Mason anymore, she’s no longer Anna Mason, but Mrs. Salvador, remember that.”

When he said that, his baritone voice is simply cold, and foreboding.

“Y—yes, Sir.”

Anna lay her head and stared blankly. What she is supposed to do anyway?

The food on the floor is tempting. It grew cold, but the smell still lingers inside her cell. Anna wanted to turned her head away only to find herself crawling towards the tray and taking a bite to the loaf of bread that accompanies the soup. The taste was phenomenal! Every bite and scoop filled her growling stomach.

It feels like Anna have not eaten for days, but the truth is—she really did not.

“And here I thought you are going to starve yourself to death.”

Her eyes widened, when she heard a familiar voice. She slowly looked up, lost, and oblivious to Aiden who was leaning close to her cell.

There is a grin on his lips as he caught Anna red-handed.

Her cheeks flared. Anna was clearly embarrassed.

“W—what are you—” She gulps down the bread she ate. Her eyes are big and wide, when she meet with Aiden again. “—what are you doing here again?”

“You guess.” He was teasing.

“Are you hear to take it away?” She looks back at him and the tray on the floor. The bowl is already empty, and Anna have already taken the last bite of bread before he arrives. The empty tea cup is beside it. “I—it’s gone now…”

“That’s not even close, well I won’t make it hard for you.” Aiden pulled himself up. “But it seems like your husband wanted to meet you now, Miss Mason or should I say…Mrs. Salvador?”

Her appetite deteriorated. Anna felt herself froze.

“W—what?”

She heard it wrong, didn’t she?

“Should I repeat the obvious, Ma’am?” Aiden eyed her. “He wanted you upstairs, and that means you’ll go with me—”

“No!” Anna didn’t know where did she get those courage to refused him.

Aiden did not budge, “You might have forgotten, but you have no say here, Anna.”

She gritted her teeth.

She quickly stood up, and the tray on her lap fell. The bowl break. The shards from the cup scattered on the floor into tiny pieces.

Anna tried to back away, but Aiden was quick to hold her arms. His grip is firm.

“And I didn’t say you could run.”

“I said no!” Despite of her fear, Anna hardened her resolve. “Y—you can’t force me against my will!”

“Yes, I do.” Aiden then pulled something and showed it to her. “And my Lord doesn’t like waiting. His patience is short, so I am allowed to used any means, Mrs. Salvador.”

“W—What—”

Anna tried to pull her hand away, but before she could free herself she felt currents flowing from the device that Aiden holds to her arm across to her entire body. It was shock. She fell numb first. Paralyzed, Anna collapsed. Everything around her became silent, and there’s this annoying sound on her ears that wouldn’t stop. It was buzzing, and each second, it was getting terrible and much worst.

She couldn’t move, and her consciousness are slowly slipping away.

Aiden knelt down. He gave her an awkward smile, “I hope you won’t resent me this much, but it’s nothing personal. Somehow, well all need a paycheck, Anna…”

And that was the last ting she could remember before the darkness succumbed her.

GASP.

Anna jolted awake. She was like deer caught on a headlights. Her eyes are wide, terrified, full of anxiety as she recall what Aiden did.

That bastard tried something to her that made her faint!

It is outrageous! Anna is definitely furious. A gust of wind touched her exposed skin. Unconsciously, Anna’s head averted towards the open window of the room she’s currently in.

She hugs herself.

“It’s cold.” She muster, and the ambiance of the room feels odd.

It was as if she wasn’t alone, and there are a pair of eyes watching every move she does. She was certain of it. Anna have almost had a heart attack, when she confirmed her suspicion, because on the couch that was facing the bed sit a man with a familiar face. He’s wearing a grey t-shirt and a pair of dark jeans, his hair is a little messy and he smells so…freaking good.

W—WHAT?! Anna was unnerved by her own thoughts.

“You sure sleeps a lot, wife.” He said in a cold tone. His bluish colored eyes are deprived from every emotion that he could have. His thick brows are furrowed.

Anna shuddered, “How long have you been here?” She asked bothered by the thought that Romanov have been there watching her.

“That doesn’t matter anymore, but you know why you have been brought here.” His shoulder squared.

He looks formal.

Anna was left tongue-tied. It is the first time she saw his face again. Romanov on his glory was truly handsome. He was like an ominous God, wrathful and with those bluish eyes, he appeared more foreboding than to be glorified. It’s ironic how this man chose to marry Anna, forcing her, and tried every way he could to break her, but all were in vain. His efforts remain fruitless against her hatred towards the family she abhorred greatly with scornful disgust.

The Masons.

“If it is about that night…” She was speaking about the one night stand that happened between them. “…I won’t tell it to no one. If you needed me to apologize, I won’t. As may I remind you, you are the one who provoke me…first…”

The memory came back. The way he held her and stared at her eyes filled her stomach with butterflies. That night, it feels as if she slept and given herself to somebody with the same name and not this cold man that despised her being.

“You really have the guts to say so, hmm?” Romanov showed Anna his disgust. “But it’s another matter that I am discussed with you, Mrs. Salvador.”

His tone became mocking.

“I am not a Missus!” Anna clenched her jaw.

“Have you also forgotten that you are married to me, Anna?” He smirked.

That made her blood boils.

“You force me! I didn’t have any plan—”

“You didn’t have any plan, yet you jump on my bed like a slut and seduce me?” Romanov stood up.

His eyes were now hooded. They were dark and full of veracity. When he stepped forward, Anna’s chest thump. Adrenaline rushes to her ears, when his steps became strides and before she knew it—Romanov have already been towering her. She was pushed underneath sandwiched between the bed and him as if she was under his mercy. Both of her hands are locked as his grip firmly restrained her.

“W—what are you doing?” Anna is weak against this man.

She is well aware of that.

Romanov chuckled huskily, “You said I force you, but may I remind you whose at fault for this.”

He was looking at her in a way that no man had ever did.

“G—get the hell away from m—” Bu her resistance did not prolong.

Without much further ado, Romanov crushed his lips against her. She was shocked at first. He was not gentle, but rough, ravaging Anna’s lips in hunger. Anna find herself kissing back. Her arms snaking around his nape to pulled him closer. His smell left her intoxicated that when he pulled apart a breathy bubbles from her throat as if she couldn’t get enough.

She couldn’t…get enough.

“See? It wasn’t as if it was force, Anna.”

A cold bucket of water seems to splashed her awake. When Anna looked up, Romanov seems very pleased with what he is seeing.

Anna’s cheeks flared.

On her mind she was continuously cursing Romanov Salvador to death.

You fucking scumbag!
