The room was quiet. Only the sound of rain could be heard outside.

Denovon placed Emily gently on the bed. His eyes were locked on hers, full of care and heat.

He bent a little closer and asked, “Are you sure?”

Emily nodded slowly. Her voice was soft. “Yes… I’m sure.”

He leaned in and kissed her..slow, deep, and warm. It wasn’t rushed. His lips moved gently, like he was pouring everything he felt into that kiss.

His hands touched her softly. First her waist, then her back. He wasn’t in a hurry. He wanted her to feel safe.

Emily's fingers found his face. She held him close and kissed him back, letting out a small breath.

“You don’t have to hold back,” she whispered.

Denovon let out a quiet groan, full of need. He kissed her again, deeper this time. His hands slid under her shirt, and Emily let him take it off. Her heart was racing, but she didn’t feel afraid. She felt warm. Wanted.

He sat up and looked at her for a moment. Really looked. His voice was husky when he spoke.
