Twenty Five

I hit the ground with a hard thud. My head bounced off the ground. The wood floors beneath me didn’t budge. I had the good sense to put my wings away, or they would’ve been damaged. I tried to get up but couldn’t, the power that brought me here was still weighing me down trapping me to the ground. Again I called for Michael this time out loud screaming his name. I used what power I had to fight back the power again. I had managed to get up still fighting the pressure of the power that brought me here. I heard a chuckle I immediately looked to my left and manifested my sword. No one was there, I heard the laugh again this time behind me I turn quickly back no one there. Feeling like I was being weighed down. My eyes have now adjusted to the dark. I was in a bedroom. A huge bedroom. I study the room the four-post bed was the only thing I could see. Distracted my reaction too late to the presence behind me. Whoever it is isn’t human, no human could move that fast. I sniffed the air.
