The Luna

Luna Rose is like the mother I never had. She may be the former Luna and Leo’s mom, but she has always loved me like her own child.

I sit with her in her cozy room, beside a bonfire. To see her making me a cup of tea.

“Please sit Luna. Wait let me-“

“Relax my child. You are always so busy working with my Son and taking all the responsibility. Let me take care of you for once.”

I smile. Sitting back down. Taking the cup from her hands.

We continue to sit in silence.But I could tell that she wanted to say something. She looked worried.

“What’s it Luna? You look worried about something?”

She smiles, holding my hand in hers. To look into my eyes.

“Nothing is hidden from you Scarlett. I may have not given birth to you, but I always considered you like my daughter.”

“Someone I can share my worries with, someone to expect from.”

I furrow my brows, giving her a nervous laugh.

“What’s it Luna? Tell me, I will help you the best I can.”

She sighs, her next words making my heart to thump.

“You know well how Leonardo is. Always busy in work and pack duties. Not giving time to himself. But now it’s time,he is 27 years old now. He and this pack needs a Luna…”

“And I think no one can suit better in that role than you Scar”

“You are perfect in everything.”

My heart starts thudding. As those hidden emotions, get eager to rush out. How I wish what Luna was saying could be true. How I wish I was the one for him and this pack.

Lowering my head, I pull back my hands from her. Gulping.

“I…I really appreciate you thinking of me to be capable enough for this role Luna. But I don’t even have a scent. I am not deserving enough….”

“Leo needs someone more beautiful, elegant and capable.Someone of his rank and status…some princess or Alpha’s daughter.  Well I ….I am just me? A girl who is just his Beta who got the role because of her late father.”

Her eyes soften.

“He has even rejects those beautiful ,pretty princesses that flirt with him. Him agreeing to this is impossible Luna”

“I am just his Beta for him. Nothing more”

Holding my hands again, she places a tender kiss on my knuckles.

“You are everything any mate can ever ask for Scar. And I am sure Leo himself doesn’t know how he feels.”

“Understanding him is almost next to impossible. But I have seen his eyes Scar. He cares for you.”

“You both haven’t found your mate’s till now. You are already of age. I really want you to think about it once atleast.”

If only she knew I was leaving. The hope she is rising in her is only going to crash. The chances of him choosing me almost negligible.

I nod.

Just to keep her heart. To only have my phone vibrate in my pocket.

I take it out to see a message from Noah.

Scar! Please help me out! It’s an emergency!

What’s it? Calm down.

I message back to have my phone vibrate again.

Silvermoon pack’s Alpha  was visiting today with . And I asked the help to prepare goat cheese salad for them in the dinner. But it seems Alpha’s daughter hates it!

She is creating such a scene here. Alpha and everyone are here. Please help Scar! She is hell bound to not leave till I kneel ,touch her feel and apologize.

I sigh. Getting up. Noah cannot do one thing right. It’s just been few hours and he is in trouble already.

 “ I am afraid Luna. I need to go. It’s an emergency.”

She nods, sipping the tea. To only remind me again.

“But think about it. Okay?”

I barely nod. Excusing myself.

“I will. Goodbye.”

Coming out of her room. I take a deep breath. To only come up with a plan.

This Noah. I hope I am able to save his ass the last time.
