Aurora’s POV

When I went down the stairs with Asher, I could hear voices emerging from the dining hall.

Breakfast was already well underway and I walked in, meeting Alaric’s gaze frim across the room.

“Look who’s awake,” it was Elder Miriam’s coice that jolted me jnto attention and I glanced at her, looking over her from where I stood. “It’s my favorite grandson.”

I scowled though a hint of amusement was in my glare.

“Funny, Elder Miriam. Your favorite grandson is my favorite too,” I joked, mov

Rosali Blackwood’s POVI had been lucky to get a chance to escape. If not for my remembering the Blood Moon was upon us, or feeling the strength of that pure energy that made my appetite rise, I wouldn't have gotten the energy to even leave the prison.I heard it from the prison guards that I was going to be executed today. At first I did not believe it. I had hated the idea of my schemes being turned around. I had blood oaths binding this pack’s leader to me.No one in this pack, with him as the Alpha and under my thumb, should have been able to touch me.Why did I have to die? Aurora’s POVUpon returning to the guest bedroom which was now more mine than ever, I closed the door and felt my chest ache with the sound.Meeting Alaric of this life was complicated when I was reborn. But it wasn’t the same as meeting Alaric with memories of the past life and what he did to me. That cut was far deeper, and our bonds were more tainted. However, this too brought me some measure of relief.I had long felt the ache from the last life’s actions, that it couldn’t be explained to Alaric of this life no matter how much I forced myself to try. This time I didn't need to explain anything, because he already understood.‘Does this change anything?’ Amber asked through the mindlink. ‘Would you have agreed to stay if it had been THIS Alaric that asked?’I pressed my lips together.‘There's no time to think about that,’ I said, glancing around the room. ‘Only to move forward.’So, in the best way I knew how, I did my best to do just that.Whether this would make it difficult for

Did she just keep candies on her for no reason at all?I nodded silently to Sylvia whi sat two seats away on the other side of the table. She was preoccupied with eating, but smiled and nodded as she ate another mouthful of French toast.Glancing at Zephyr next to me, I asked, “How do you feel?”“Much better, my lady,” he said. “You sle

Aurora's POVIt wasn't until another hour before I finally drifted off.The dreams that swarmed in my head after sleep continued to fill a void in my head.I found myself staring into a scene, watching from an invisible observer’s view as several people talked. The words hit my ears, but I found I could hardly process them, only switching to another scene like it was as easy as flipping a page.I watched the scenes, bit by bit, pulling information into my mind. This time, when I woke up, it didn't feel as heavy as when I had previously regained some memories.Instead, that knowledge settled over me, as if they had been there all along without the pressure. Was it the Blood Moon? Was that why getting those revelations back had become as easy as blinking?I stared up at the ceiling, my emotions swirling in a conflicted manner.I had seen my parents. In my dream I had watched them argue with several people trying to get me taken in before I was even born. I had seen my mother’s swollen b

Aurora’s POVFrom where I stood, it felt like several hands pulled at me, tugging in all directions. My energy was being drained, not slowly, but in a way that had my vision darken at the edges.Yet I wasn't weakened by the rain. With each energy drained, I received another, creating a constant flow in input and output.I was the central part of this ritual, and in turn had become a veritable energy converter. The energy from those runic stones of pure energy flowed into me, and the cord I held became the connection to charge the spells.I stayed still.I listened to elder Miriam chanting and tried to ignore the feeling of those hands, or those voices.Rosalie Blackwood had done her job well. She had ensured their loyalty, whether they liked it or not. To bond a blood oath was easy, dissolving it could break everyone apart: the one that cast it, the bearer of the oath and the ones tasked to remove it. That was, if there was even the slightest error. The cord in my hand grew warmer and

Aurora’s POVI didn't know what Seraphina was going to do next, nor did I expect to hear a heavy, long sigh, like air being forced out of a balloon.“You,” Seraphina’s voice was now weak. “I will regret this.”“Oh I think I will,” Lyra hummed. “I regret not being able to punch you in the face right

Aurora’s POVI glanced at Eva whose lips twitched. But upon meeting my gaze she adopted a look of mocking and mild grievance.“What? Don't tell me you’re upset with me, Luna Aurora?” She snorted then and took a swig of wine like she was in a bar instead of such an event.“You spoke enough,” I regar
