Kael

“Where’s Yvette?” I asked and the maid gently bowed her head, trembling.

“Alpha the Luna has been gone for a few hours and I have no idea where she went to.” She replied. I looked at her for a second longer, trying to determine whether she was lying.

“Okay, get back to your duties,” I told her, and she scurried away.

What was going on with Yvette these days? She seemed like a different person. She no longer made my meals, and she no longer clung to me.

She didn’t even beg me to make love

Yvette“No, I’m fine and I am very sure it was just a fever.” I cut in quickly before he could continue. I knew my condition so well, and I didn’t want him to say anything about it now when Elora was here, she wouldn’t let it go and she’d only panic and panic and panic. The young healer blinked slightly, clearly caught off guard by how fast I interrupted him.“Yvette…” Elora frowned and tried to say something but I interrupted her immediately. “It’s literally just stress and exhaustion, plus I haven’t eaten properly in days. Besides, you know what happened recently.” I added quickly while forcing out a weak laugh. Sorry Mom, you have to buy me out of this one.“Please, don’t say it, not in front of her please.” I kept muttering in my head while staring directly at the healer like I was trying to get him to hear my thoughts somehow. Maybe I was because to be sincere, I just couldn’t handle another person looking at me with pity right now.The healer studied me quietly for a moment

YvetteA flicker of irritation crossed Kael’s face immediately after my words landed. For a second, I thought he would say something, do something, try to exonerate himself that he wasn’t the “wrong man” and I wasn’t going to die from loving him.I thought maybe, he’d finally explain himself, but instead? He simply grabbed his coat from the chair sharply.“Suit yourself,” he said coldly before turning toward the door, and then he left just like that. The sound of the bedroom door shutting echoed loudly through the room and something inside me went numb afterward.Isla whimpered weakly inside my head but even she sounded exhausted now. I slowly curled deeper beneath the blanket as another wave of heat rolled through my body violently.Moon goddess…I felt terrible. My throat burned painfully while my skin alternated between freezing cold and unbearably hot. Even breathing felt exhausting now.At some point, I vaguely remembered my phone ringing beside me and I reached for it blindly wi

Yvette“I think I’m ready to go home now.” I turned to Soren and said and he nodded. I sighed, looking around and feeling slightly reluctant to leave. After spending hours at the cemetery, Soren suggested we go back to his place so I could get something to eat before my stomach started acting up again. It made my heart feel a bit warm. I knew I had promised myself not to get entangled with this man because I had no idea why he was doing all this for me, and I was certainly aware that it wasn’t simply because my “Uncle Philip” had saved his life back then.To me, it felt more complicated than that and even today, it felt like he wanted to talk to me about something big and important I had no idea about. But he held back because he wasn’t sure if it was the right time because of the fact that my mother's death was still fresh and hanging over us.I appreciated it though, I didn’t want to know about anything that would possibly change the direction of my life or alter my world at this mo

YvetteI returned to the cemetery the next morning before sunrise after spending the night at my Aunt Millie and Uncle Phillip’s place. Uncle Philip was really surprised to hear that my mother had passed on and my father had kept such important news from her loved ones.He had called him last night, yelling curses and threats, and I was the one who later convinced him to let it go so it wasn’t worth all the trouble.I was going to deal with my father myself when the time was right. The world still looked grey and quiet, covered in cold mist while droplets of rain clung to the grass from last night’s storm.I brought white Lilies with me this time around since it was my mother’s favorite, I wanted her to at least have something she liked. The cemetery guard recognized me immediately and didn’t stop me as I walked through the narrow paths slowly, clutching the flowers tightly against my chest. My injured foot still hurts badly but I barely care. When I finally reached her grave, I st

KaelEven after fucking Lyra seven good times, I still couldn’t sleep. It made no sense.Lyra was curled against my chest peacefully asleep while the penthouse remained silent except for the distant sound of rain hitting the windows.Normally after sex, especially rough sex like the one I just had, Ash calmed down eventually. But tonight? He wouldn’t stop pacing. He was restless and agitated for some reasons not known to me and it made me really uncomfortable.“What the fuck is wrong with you?” I muttered tiredly while rubbing my jaw and Ash growled lowly.“Our mate is in pain.” He revealed and I frowned immediately. Yvette was in pain??? But why couldn’t I really feel it then?Silly me.I knew too well that after all this time, the mate bond was weakened, damaged, and strained by years of my own actions. So we couldn’t really feel each other’s emotions as much as in the earlier years. But right now?? I could actually feel something leaking through the bond which meant one thing. Yve

KaelI was busy in my office when Bianca suddenly stormed in crying hysterically like the world was about to come to an end. “What happened now?” I asked coldly without looking up from the documents in front of me.Bianca slammed her purse violently against the couch before turning toward me dramatically.“Your wife is insane!” she snapped tearfully and I finally looked up slowly.“What did she do?” I asked calmly although I could feel Ash stirring inside of me at the mention of Yvette.“She hit me!” She cried out, looking personally victimized as she pointed at her swollen cheeks. My eyes narrowed instantly. Yvette slapped Bianca? That was surprising, because my mate usually tolerated my sister's nonsense quietly no matter how disrespectful she became. So for Yvette to actually lose her cool and put her hands on her? It only meant one thing…Bianca definitely crossed a line.“She refused to cook for Mom and started acting arrogant. Plus I only asked her to make food and she started
