"Daddy," Katherina said in a childish tone as she descended the stairs to the first floor with her father. "I love you, you know?" She shrugged slightly with a smile, but her father just looked at her disdainfully. "Sorry," she hugged him like a teddy bear. "Don't be mad... Dad!"
"...It's clear you haven't learned to understand your father," he burst into laughter, and Katherina looked at him seriously, crossing her arms. "Oh, come on, honey," he hugged her and kissed her temple. "I'll never be mad at you."
"Silly," she playfully punched his shoulder and laughed with her father. "I thought you were."
"You know that as long as you don't fail your semesters, everything will be fine. But please, try not to argue with that boy anymore."
"I'll try, father, but that idiot keeps bothering and I'm not like the others who let themselves be pushed around. Besides, he bothered Carlos."
- "Again?" he asked. He knew both Carlos and Tom very well. Carlos lived down the block, and Tom was a few blocks away. He was a close friend of their parents, who worked as entrepreneurs in their big company, and even they knew how their son and daughter got along.
They lamented that.
"He's an idiot, I can't stand him, always bothering me. What should I do with that idiot?"
"Put him in his place," she said, putting her glasses back on. "But not like this, thank you."
"However I want?"
"However you want!" she exclaimed quietly, giving her daughter a high-five.
Idris was one of those great and outgoing parents, loving yet respected and admired. He was more than just a cool dad, so to speak.
Katherina adored him with all her heart.
"Katherina!" That piercing scream, she knew who it belonged to. "Sir..." She lowered her voice upon seeing her best friend's father. "Hey."
"Hello," he greeted. "I'm leaving, sweetheart." He hugged her goodbye. "Goodbye, Jisoo." He nodded and watched him walk away.
"That scream of yours is going to make me deaf," Katherina said with a laugh. "What do you want? Aren't you supposed to be in physics?" she asked as they resumed walking.
"The teacher didn't show up," the sweet, playful, energetic, and beautiful Jisoo replied. "I have the latest scoop for you."
"What?" Katherina chuckled at her best friend's "journalist" expression.
"Everyone in the classroom is talking and mocking Tom right in his face because of what you did."
"Really?" she energetically laughed. "He deserves it, I hope they keep laughing."
"Exactly, he's about to explode, his face looks like a tomato," she laughed. "You're incredible."
"Me? Not at all." They both laughed.
"And besides, his little brother..."
"Again..." She rolled her eyes. "Why don't you just tell him you love him?"
"I don't love him," she contradicted. "I just want him with me," she said dreamily. Since high school, she had been fascinated with Harry, Tom's twin brother, and Katherina suggested that she tell him how she feels, but she always refuses. "He's like a planet," she added, and Katherina said to her:
"Is he that ugly?" She made a face and laughed at her weak friend's supposed hit.
"He's not ugly, he's freaking sexy," she bit her lower lip lightly. "If you could see him more closely, Katherina, he's divine," she emphasized.
"That's what you say about every man you see, like when you 'supposedly' said Antonio was a hunk - the arithmetic teacher. You claimed he was gorgeous without even seeing him, and it turned out to be the opposite. I've been teasing you about that all last year, and I still do," the brunette said. "Stop talking nonsense."
"But you have seen Harry properly, right?"
"Yes, but he's not my type. He's my friend and the brother of that jerk," she sighed. "What karma to have a poop like Tom as a brother."
"Enough." They laughed. "Are you going to the principal's office?"
"Yes," she replied. "I have to fulfill a commitment," she laughed. "Which I won't fulfill," Jisoo lightly punched her shoulder. She knew Katherina well, how tough and outgoing she is. She adores her for that. "Why the question?"
"Look, there's Tom," she said, and the brunette frowned. "He'll be punished too," she added, taking her friend's arm and quickening their pace.
"Let go," the beautiful being with blue contact lens eyes, Chan, appeared out of nowhere and said. He was a college football player desired by many. "He's mine, not yours," he stuck out his tongue, and Jisoo simply pushed him. "I thought you were going home?"
"The principal asked me not to, that idiot," she replied, greeting some friends from her class. She was very sociable. "And... Stefan?" she asked about the muscular brunette who was like a brother to her. "The idiot owes me $100 for the paint-filled balloon bet."
The three burst into laughter recalling the feat Felix, Bam, and Katherina pulled off on the math teacher. They raised the balloon filled with green paint to a certain height, causing it to fall on the teacher, who screamed like a preschool girl. It went viral on social media for months.
"Well..." Katherina said after a while. "Let me take care of the 'supposed commitment.'" She chuckled lightly. "Oh, it's so funny if they think I'll actually fulfill that. Let's go to break, okay?"
They all nodded, but Jisoo wanted to go with her so she wouldn't miss what she claims will be another fight with Mikaelson.
Upon arrival, they entered and saw the principal, followed by a certain dark-haired individual leaning against the back of the office. "Finally here," spoke Principal Jackson in his typical gruff and somewhat intimidating voice. He was a chubby, short man with a possessive and hostile demeanor. "You seem to enjoy being here, don't you?" "I don't just like it," Katherina replied, signing the commitment. "I'm fascinated by it, you have no idea." She handed him the pen, and Jisoo shook her head in amusement. "Anything else?" "Yes," Jackson responded, adjusting his suit. "Better discipline." "Don't make me laugh," said, aware of this better than anyone else. She felt a squeeze on her right foot as Jisoo stepped on it, signaling her to be quiet. She sighed. "When that..." She pointed at Tom, who had just finished signing. "Stops messing around and bothering me with pleasure, I'll behave." "Am I bothering you?" Tom's voice, unable to bear it, asked. "Who was it that threw my desk and th
It was six o'clock in the evening and everyone was already home. Upon arriving, he threw his backpack on the couch and sat at the kitchen table on one of the high stools, eating dinner made by his mother. He turned on the TV and his mother sat beside him and spoke. "Well..." Leila, his mother, sighed. "Is everything fine with Katherina?" "Neither here nor there," he replied, taking a bite. "I can't stand her, I detest her. She thinks she's the important one." "That's what they say about you too," his mother said, and Tom glanced at the TV with annoyance. "Leave that girl alone, don't you have anyone else to bother?" "It seems not," Harry said, approaching them and feeding his dog, Tessa. "But still, Katherina always puts him in his place, never fails." "I think that's perfect," Leila said, and Tom looked at her as if to say, "Now you're on her side." The woman didn't care much and continued speaking. "In that regard, she resembles both her father Idris and her mother Clara. Leave
The clock was already past 11 in the morning, and it was time to go to university. Therefore, the brunette had hurried to get organized and be ready to leave. "I'm leaving now, Dad," Katherina announced as she descended from the second floor, standing at the foot of the stairs. Idris, who was on the second floor, quickly came down, adjusting his tie alongside his wife Clara, a beautiful woman with fair skin, blue eyes, and Asian features, looking perfect. They reached her and gave her a good morning kiss. Her mother went straight to the kitchen, packed some food in her backpack, and gave her money, as she always did since Katherina was a child. In response to this familiar gesture, the brunette said, "You never change, do you?" in a somewhat playful tone, and her mother shook her head and smiled. She kissed Katherina's cheek, and her father as well. Nevertheless, the extra money was certainly appreciated. "What time will you be back?" she asked as they walked towards the living room
What the hell was happening? In what world was she now? Damn, she couldn't believe what she was seeing. It was impossible for her, what her eyes were seeing. "And... I must be hallucinating," Katherina said, closing and reopening her eyes. "Tom, Tom Mikaelson crying, that can't be... possible." Belinda spoke this time, saying, "Come on, Katherina, of course it has to be. Or are you going to say he has a twin?" "Yes," Katherina replied, and Belinda rolled her eyes with a giggle. "It's pathetic, God, I can't believe I'm saying this, but it's pitiful," she frowned, and the dark-haired girl laughed. "It's just...," she looked at Belinda and asked, "Why is he crying or what?" "I don't know. But I'll ask him now." With that said, both of them started walking towards the outskirts of the drawing room. Tom was with his friends, who were either trying to calm him down or comforting him. He was literally in tears, and it was clear from a distance that whatever was happening to him was caus
"Holy father!" he exclaimed, bursting into laughter that he had been holding back. "You're a son of the same drama queen." He shook him and laughed even harder. "You nailed it, Tom," Harrison told him. "I can't..." Laya laughed alongside Harrison, placing her hands around their stomachs. "God... I've never laughed this much, seriously." "You're a great actor," Harrison said, patting his shoulder. "I know, I know," he said with an egotistical tone, wiping his tears with a triumphant smile, the kind that achieved what he wanted. "You can't be any more stupid because 'idiot' isn't your last name." "That was brilliant," Harrison said as they decided to skip class and were now in the large field. "What's next? This is getting interesting." "You'll find out what comes next, just be patient," he rubbed his hands together maliciously, taking a sip of soda, planning the next move, convinced it would be even better than before. He fell into this, and he would fall into the next, he said to
Words come, words go and come again, the brunette was at home with her best friends, spending the afternoon together. Meanwhile, her parents, after several days, were on business trips with the Mikaelsons. Prior to that, she had vaguely told them about what the dark-haired guy had done at university and what he had been up to. Even they were surprised by his unusually friendly attitude. It was as if he had suddenly transformed into a different person and, over the course of several weeks, or rather, about three months - if she wasn't mistaken - he had been behaving this way.The girls sat on the carpet, leaning against the sofa, discussing which movies they could all watch together. At that moment, the black-haired girl sat next to them and spoke:"They're delicious," Belinda said, putting another piece of chocolate in her mouth. "He really outdid himself with this, don't you think?""Definitely," Jisoo followed, taking a bite as well, just like Rose. "I never thought I'd say this, bu
The brunette was somewhat surprised to see the dark-haired man in front of her house, who simply said:"Tom... What are you doing here?"To which the dark-haired man sarcastically replied:"Katherina, I'm also delighted to see you."The brunette noticed his sarcastic tone and said:"I... I apologize, I just didn't know you were coming or anything like that.""It's alright, Katherina. I didn't inform you or anything of the sort.""Adding to the fact that you've never been to my house before," Katherina said, and the opposite nodded. He had never been to her house before, not even remotely, so in that regard, she was right.Tom spoke:"You're right. But I came for something...""And what would that something be?" she asked, somewhat curious."This," he replied with his trademark smile before running towards his red Cadillac, retrieving a beautiful bouquet of white tulips and several colorful balloons that were haphazardly floating above it. Once he had what he needed in his hands, he ap
Something was simmering over medium heat, just like that. And it was none other than a question: Haven't you ever experienced that when you hear what seems to be a good joke, you laugh until you can't anymore? That your body feels weak from repeated laughter? Has that ever happened to you?Because if so, there's an answer to that, and it was at this moment, outside the campus, the three of them sitting on the bleachers of the football field during their short break, laughter bursting forth, trying to lower the intensity but unable to.Harrison, seated on the top row, placed his hands on the shoulders of the dark-haired guy sitting in the second row and said amidst laughter:"Oh, Tom Mikaelson. For the love of money and everything it entails, I can't believe this: Did you really spend ten thousand dollars on everything you did?" He asked the question and laughed even harder. "Don't mess with me, Mikaelson. I haven't even spent that much money on myself, and I'm a braggart when it comes
