Chapter 4

The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet. Anthony was in his room operating on his laptop while Sonia sat down impatiently on the sofa expecting Mrs Gilbert to show up.

A maid came out of the kitchen heading upstairs, she thought it would be a good idea to ask her since all the three brothers are nowhere to be found even if they were around she might not be able to ask them.

"Hello miss, please have you seen Mrs Gilbert around?." Sonia asked with a small smile.

"Oh, are you waiting for her?." The maid asked politely.

"Yes I am."

"I saw her going out the other time but I don't know where she was heading to." The maid explained.

"Thank you miss." Sonia appreciated it with a fake smile. The maid bowed and continued her journey.

"When am I going to leave here now, it's almost 8pm." Sonia muttered, folding her arms on her chest.

It was dinner time, and the maid knocked on Anthony's door.

"Who is it?." Anthony asked with a boring voice.

"It is Marissa Sir." The maid replied leaning on the door in anticipation of his reply.

"What do you want?." He asked again.

"Please Sir, the dinner is ready and set."

"Okay, I will be down in a few minutes." Anthony replied coldly, Marissa nodded and bowed, she slapped her head when she realized that he couldn't see her.

Marissa went from one room to the other to call them for dinner.

Anthony packed the files in a row, he closed his laptop and stood up ready to go out... He hummed a song as he climbed down the stairs, the song suddenly confused him as soon as he set his eyes on Sonia.

"What are you still doing here?." He asked coldly, Sonia faced him.

"Good evening Sir, I am waiting for Mrs Gilbert to come before I leave." Sonia replied with a bow.

"Go and wait for her outside or you will see tomorrow." Anthony said coldly and nonchalantly.

"Big bro, let her stay Mom is on her way in"  Adam said, just then the door opened wide, Mr Gilbert walked in immediately.

"Mommy, mommy." Nancy shouted running to her Mom. 

"Baby how are you?." She asked, Nancy pouted sadly.

"What is it baby?." Mrs Gilbert asked.

"Mom, Big brother Anthony told Miss Sonia to stay outside when waiting for you." Nancy explained, Mrs Gilbert looked at Anthony, then he left there and headed to the dining table.

"Go eat while I have a conversation with your nanny." Mrs Gilbert said that to Nancy, Nancy ran to the dining table immediately.

"Hi ma'am." Sonia greeted with a smile.

"I am so sorry about what Anthony did, he is always like that, don't worry you will get used to his character soon." Mrs Gilbert said with a deep sigh.

"Thank you ma'am, I would love to be on my way." Sonia replied, she stood up.

"I want to discuss something with you but it is late already, we will talk about it tomorrow, come early tomorrow morning."

"Thank you ma'am." Sonia bowed and left but not without waving at Nancy.

Sonia slumped on her bed as soon as she got to her room. 

"This Anthony of a guy is getting on my nerves seriously. Does he know who I am, if I were to compare the both of us then we are no match."  Sonia thought, the ring coming out of her phone jolted her off her thoughts... She got a new phone and discarded the other one.

Sonia dragged out a drawer then she brought out her new phone, she checked the caller ID and saw it was Mike, she picked it at once.

"Good afternoon Ma'am Lisa."

"I am not Lisa, my name is Sonia." She corrected, rolling her eyes.

"I am so sorry Ma'am, how are you?, Is everything okay over there?." He asked in a rush.

"Yes, everything is very much okay here. What about you?."

"I am fine ma'am, it is just that the companies are too stressful to handle. Anyways Mr Durag wants to meet you but we told him you were not around, he insisted on seeing you no matter what." Mike explained with a sigh.

"Is he there with you?." Sonia asked, resting her head on the bed's headboard.

"Yes he is Ma'am."

"Okay, that's fine. I will call back in a few minutes so that I can talk to him."

"That's great, I will be expecting your call ma'am." Mike said, Sonia hung up.

Sonia jumped out of the bed immediately, she walked into the bathroom to clean her makeup and to adjust her hair.

She looked at the mirror after she was done... "This is now Lisa and not Sonia." She said with a smile.

Anthony crushed the food angrily, he hates when someone takes sides with the person he insulted... Mrs Gilbert took a glance at him and sighed.

"Nancy baby, Is the nanny okay for you or do you want me to change her?." Mrs Gilbert asked, Anthony lifted his head expecting her to say no.

"No Mom, she is very perfect for me, I think she is very brilliant because she taught me the part that was difficult for me, and she also helped me in..."

Anthony was feeling the heat of anger already with the way Nancy couldn't stop talking about her.

"Shut your mouth little witch or I shut it for you." Anthony yelled at Nancy, and she stopped immediately, with tears lined under her eyes.

"Mom, can't you just say another thing why her,  I will sack her tomorrow." Anthony warned his Mom.

"What is wrong with you Tony, why did you hate and despise that innocent lady a lot, she has done nothing wrong to you or have you two met before?." Mrs Gilbert shouted.

"I don't even want to know, I don't care. All I know is that I hate her so much, I am done eating." Anthony yelled, he dropped his cutlery and stood up abruptly and made to leave.

"What if I decide that she would be staying here permanently." Mrs Gilbert said with finality.

Anthony stopped on his track and looked back, then he chuckled.

"I know you won't do that Mom." Anthony said, walking away. Mrs Gilbert watched him leave, then she sat back.

"This is so pathetic." Mrs Gilbert muttered, Andrew stood up and Adam did the same.

"Big brother Anthony hates my nanny and I like her already. What can I do mom?." Nancy asked with teary eyes.

"You don't have to do anything baby, just watch and see." Mrs Gilbert said, then she pulled Nancy in a hug.
