Chapter 3

                 Robert Lisa (Sonia)

He stormed in. "Mom, what is she doing here?". He asked the woman. I became scared and depressed immediately.

"What if she retrieves the work from me?Where will I go again?". I asked inwardly.

"It is either she leaves and you babysit Ella or you let her stay to babysit Ella, choose". His Mom proposed.

I smiled, "I know a guy will never babysit never". 

He shot me a dreadly look and faced his Mom.

"Mom, are you trying to place a commoner over me?". He asked.

"No I am not, I gave you options to choose from, didn't I?". His Mom questioned.

"Fine, she can stay". He yelled running upstairs, the woman watched him leave, she shook her head and face me.

"Don't mind him, make sure you come early tomorrow". She said with a smile.

"Thank you Ma'am". I replied with happiness, I stormed out jumping up.

                   Gilbert Anthony

I was very angry that Mom employed her as Nancy's nanny. How can she do such a thing? I thought, throwing the pen I was holding across the room.

I need to convince her to stop that girl from working here, she needs to learn her lesson. I concluded with a grin and made to leave my room then I stopped abruptly on my track.

That won't be enough lessons for her because she couldn't get another job. I will support Mom in employing her in order to make life a living hell for her. A big smirk played on my lips.

I sat down on the dining seat, my siblings also joined in and my Mom too, only Dad's seat was empty.

The chef began to dish out the food, within a twinkle of an eye we started eating.

"Hmmmm". Mom cleared her throat and looked at me. I knew at once that she wanted to talk about the nanny.

"I have accepted for her to be our nanny". I said without looking up, I could sense multiple eyes on me.

"How did you know that was what I was about to say". Mom asked, a little bit confused.

"I know you would try to persuade me into accepting her, so I accept before you do that, I am not in the mood of listening to your sermon". I joked, the others laughed.

"Thank you my son"... She shifted her gaze to Nancy...

"A nanny has been employed to take care of you so make sure you don't misbehave and I am very sure she will help you with your assignment since your brothers always refuse you". Mom stated emphasizing on your brothers. Nancy chuckled, I stared at Mom in disbelief.

"Moooom!!!!, Are you trying to place a nanny who is not here yet over us?". Adam asked.

"No, I am only explaining to Nancy that's all, since you guys can't help her out then someone has to do it". Mom snapped.

"Mom, let's forget about it and just eat". Andrew spoke up, we all exchanged glares and continued eating.

Everybody respects Andrew's decisions all the time because Dad said we should all listen to him whenever he speaks, he hardly talks.

I stood at the front of the mirror knotting my tie, I was fully dressed in my office attire.

"My handsomeness is priceless". I complimented myself while arranging my hair in alignment, I nodded on getting satisfied with my look, I picked up my briefcase and left the room.

I began to hear familiar voices as I climbed down the stairs.

"Good morning Mr Anthony". The lady greeted me, I frowned immediately.

How dare she greet me with her rotten mouth.  I walked past her and walked to Mom.

"Good morning Mom". I greeted, she folded her arm on her chest giving me the sign to reply to her first.

"Mom, that's not fair". I blurted out angrily.

*What is not fair?". She asked with a smile.

Is Mom trying to disgrace me in front of this lady right now?It is not going to work. 

"Mom, I need to get to work very early today".  I said moving towards the dining table. 

"Don't mind him, he woke up on the wrong side of his bed". Mom pleaded.

Mom". I shouted turning to her with the "stop it" look.

"What!!???". She shouted, the lady chuckled.

"Please Mom, I need to eat in peace, please". I pleaded, I turned back to the dining table, and the chef served me.

"Good morning Mom". I heard two voices which I recognized very much. Mom pecked them, they joined me at the dining table.

"Good morning big brother". Andrew and Adam greeted me.

"Good morning to you too". I replied, I felt two tiny hands on my eyes, I recognized them immediately.

"Nancy, stop it, you can see I am eating". I scolded.

"Sorry big brother, I was just trying to surprise you". She replied with a sad smile, I careless.

"Mom, I will be leaving for work now". I said hugging Mom, I turned to Adam...

"Make sure you drop Nancy off at her school, don't forget to do so because I know you too well". I warned, I left afterwards.

I entered the living room and I couldn't find anyone around, I looked round then my eyes landed on Mrs Gilbert pouring a cup of water for herself at the dining table.

"Good morning Mrs Gilbert". I greeted with a bow and a smile.

"Good morning Sonia, how are you doing?". She replied, coming towards me.

"I am very fine Ma'am". I replied... I felt the presence of someone, I turned immediately and it turned out to be the guy.

"What is his name?". I thought inwardly racking my brain, I remembered.

"Good morning Mr Anthony". I greeted, he frowned and walked past me instead.

"Good morning Mom". He greeted his Mom.

His Mom folded her arms on her chest and  signaled for him to reply to me first before she could reply to him. I smirked secretly.

"Mom, that's not fair". He blurted out angrily.

"Mom, I need to get to work very early today". He said moving towards the dining table. I could sense his anger.

"Don't mind him, he woke up on the wrong side of his bed". Mom pleaded, I smiled.

"Mom". He shouted, turning to her with the "stop it" look. I laughed secretly again.

"What!!???". She shouted, I couldn't help but to chuckle.

"Please Mom, I need to eat in peace, please". He pleaded and turned back to the dining table, the chef served him.

"Sorry about that, I would like for you to know more about my daughter". She proposed, I nodded severally even though I wasn't able to assimilate something.

"Thank you ma'am, I will make sure I try my best". I appreciated it after she was done.

She has been lecturing me for ages.

"You are welcome darling, I will ask Anthony to tour you round when he comes back". Mrs Gilbert said walking away.

She doesn't even give me the chance to oppose or accept?, Why did she choose Anthony out of all people?, How am I going to face him?, I need to be prepared. 

I saw one of the brothers, Mrs Gilbert told me their names and he was the guy I was hiding behind the other time.

"Good morning Sir Andrew". I greeted.

"Good morning". He replied boringly, I smile dryly.

"All of them are weird in this family, I pray I last long"..I concluded sitting on the couch.

Nancy came back from school a while ago.I am currently helping her with her assignments, Mrs Gilbert sat on a sofa in the living room watching a movie.

"Good evening, I'm home!!". Anthony announced, I and Nancy looked up and I rolled my eyes immediately.

He should have walked in gently without making noises or making unnecessary announcements.

"Welcome son, Anthony, I have work for you to do for me". His Mom replied.

"Mom I am very tired right now, I had a very hectic day at work and I need to get some rest". Anthony rushed the words walking in.

"I need you to go now, or you won't be able to rest at all". She threatened, he stopped and shrugged down his shoulders. 

"Fine, what is it ?". He asked impatiently.

"I want you to tour Sonia around this building". She said,

"Mom what?, I can't do this, you can call on Andrew or Adam even Nancy".

"It is an order which you must follow". he insisted.

"Mom, I don't get it, she can tour herself round the house at least she is not going to get lost". Anthony cajoled.

"Mrs Gilbert, please let him go and get some rest, he will do that later". I spoke up.

"He is going right now?". She insisted.

"You told my Mom to tour you around when I come back right".  He asked angrily.

"I didn't tell her such, I was surprised when she told me in the morning". I answered innocently.

"Liar, a liar always justifies herself openly and hypocrites secretly". He insulted me, but I chose to stay calm.

"Mr Anthony, I didn't tell her to stop prolonging the matter already, it is getting boring". I replied casually.

"Your words proved it, you ve satisfied yourself enough right?, I am off here". He uttered, walking out very angry.

He is so unbelievable right now, how can he throw blames on people like that. I thought, I also walked in, I continued to help Nancy.
