To say that I was completely shocked out of my mind is an understatement. Everything comes flooding back to me. The way that my mom, well, apparently not my mom, but the way she treated me explains it all. It also explains why Catalina was so overprotective of me. And perhaps it could also, amongst so many other reasons, be why my mom, UGH, this is going to be confusing. But anyway, it explains why there was friction in their marriage.So I took it as best as that I can and told them they should give me time to process it, which is a complete lie, for all I want to do is get back to the city. The thing is, it really does not bother me that my mom is not my real mom, for we were never close, and she really did treat me badly. As for Catalina, we have a good relationship; obviously, I need to see her as my mom now.
