CHAPTER 9

NICHOLAS

“Cassandra, but you can call me Cassy.” Cassy smiles at Nick, her smile drawing him in further.

"I don’t think I need to introduce myself, you already know me, but I’m Nicholas, and you can call me Nick. Now that we know each other, can we go to your new home?" He says, and she laughs, as he leads her to where his car is parked. He opens the front-seat for her, and when she enters, rushes to the driver’s seat, and starts to drive towards his mansion.

He glances at her for a brief moment, and returns his gaze to the road ahead. He has no idea what it is but something about her makes him want to help her. She was homeless and poor and yet she refused his offer, and held onto her pride and dignity, and that makes him want to help her more.

"Tell me about yourself Cassandra." He says as he drives on, his eyes not leaving the road.
