“Time for the second and last half!” The announcer called as the players filed back into the pitch.

Chase’s team was already losing by one goal, and if they continued the way they were playing, they would lose completely.

The cheerleaders were doing their best, but Chase’s team was being a complete flop, and it was ruining everything. They already looked like a joke.

While they rested, I had looked for Terry to speak with him because I couldn’t speak to Chase until after the game.

“They are sidelining Chase,” I had told Terry.

His jaw had been tight with rage, and I knew this time that it was because of how badly the game was going, and not something that I might have done.
