Carmen’s POV

Chase got into his house, almost slamming the door in my face.

“Did you forget I was right behind you?” I asked Chase, surprised at his fury.

He had been burning with anger since we left the gym, and I didn’t dare a word all through the drive back. It was even a good thing that driving back was always shorter than driving there the first time, so it didn’t take long for us to get back to Chase’s house.

Terry and Jonathan had already left.

“Chase, I am talking to you,” I said, when I saw that Chase was about to go to his bedroom without answering me. “Why are you so mad at me?” I asked in frustration.

Chase twirled around swiftly.

“You just go about frolicking with every stranger you meet, right?” Chase asked me vehemently.
