Chapter 107: Nathan’s POV

I drive Celeste, my potential son and myself to the nearest lab testing center and request a paternity test. The nurse informs me that they have a new form of rapid testing in which I could have the result before I get home and I agree to pay the fees. The nurse then brings out some forms to sign before we have a seat.

“What’s his name?” I ask quietly as I wait in anticipation to take the test.

“Lexington.” She says as she bounces him on her knee. I didn’t know how to make small talk with her so I just settle for silence.

“Do you want to hold him?” She asks hesitantly.

“Sure.” I hold my arms out as she passed me Lexington and he immediately smiles at me. He begins giggling as he reached for my nose and I smile as I keep moving out of his grasp, teasing him and watching his excitement build. Celeste watches carefully and I see something close to sadness building in her expression. “He sure is a happy baby.”

“He is. Never cries, never fusses and sleeps throughout the night.” She agrees
