85. CONFRONTING EMOTIONS

CALLAN TOOK OUT a gun from the car’s shelf and handed it to Aakil.

With his determined eyes, he shot five bullets from the broken window. Exactly five bullets I counted as each vibrated against my ears, went straight towards her direction. I could see all of it, each scene that happened as the minutes passed by.

The machine gun flew in the air as my mother fell on her face on the ground. But she could still move, we were already so far that any bullets wouldn’t hit her anymore.
