Aria couldn't bring herself to refuse Harold—especially when Basia was involved.

It was rare for her to feel calm enough to play with her daughter, and since it was only coloring instead of some wild game, Aria had no excuse to say no.

Following Harold's lead, she sat down between the two kids.

"Mom, you color here. Let's see whose section looks better," Basia chirped, handing Aria a crayon and carefully marking off a space for her.

Aria sighed at the crayon in her hand, but before she could reply, Basia clapped and said, "Ready, set, go!"

In perfect sync, Harold and Basia bent over their coloring books, one on each side.

Watching them so serious, Aria's chest loosened. She let herself sink into the moment, filling in colors alongside them. Soon, she was absorbed, forgetting all about Kane's phone being off and the knot of worry in her heart.

Seeing Aria finally relax, Basia smirked to herself. Harry always knew what to do. If it had been up to her, she'd only have sat around worrying

  • The Billionaire Regret After My Goodbye   Aria Goes Into Labor

Inside the apartment, Mike’s phone buzzed.“Aria’s being wheeled to her prenatal checkup. Do we start the plan?”His eyes lit up instantly.“Of course. Start it now!” His fist clenched, his face glowing with anticipation.“But… sir,” the man on the other end hesitated. “She’s in a wheelchair.”“What?” Mike froze. The plan was simple—snatch Aria, use her as leverage to force Kane into self-destruction. But if she couldn’t move on her own, getting her out of the hospital became much more complicated.Unwilling to let go, Mike barked, “Listen, Bill, change of plans. Create chaos—knock her over. In the confusion, disguise her and get her out of there!”“Knock her over?” Bill’s voice faltered. “She’s heavily pregnant. A hit like that might trigger premature labor.”“Even better,” Mike sneered, his tone icy. “Then the baby’s life is in our hands. Do it. Force that child out.”The line went quiet before Bill finally muttered, “Yes, sir,” and hung up.Ellie, who had been lounging nearby, arch

  • The Billionaire Regret After My Goodbye   Stay in Bed

Aria pouted, her big eyes brimming with mock grievance as she stared at Kane.Seeing her deliberately pitiful look, Kane smirked and brushed his fingertip across her nose.“Playing cute won’t save you.”Aria puffed up her cheeks, widening her eyes stubbornly as she kept glaring at him.“You never listen, that’s the problem.” Kane narrowed his eyes, pretending not to be swayed by her expression. When her little act didn’t work, Aria huffed, yanked the blanket over herself, and turned her back on him.Her childish sulking only made Kane burst out laughing.Curled up under the covers, Aria realized just how ridiculous she must look. Heat spread across her cheeks as Kane’s laughter filled the room.At that moment, her phone buzzed on the nightstand. She instinctively tried to sit up and grab it, but the sharp pull in her lower back made her wince.“Stay down, don’t push yourself.” Kane caught her arm, circled around the bed, and grabbed the phone for her.The caller ID was unfamiliar. • The Billionaire Regret After My Goodbye   Not My Problem

Even after locating Mike and Ellie, Kane didn’t rush to tell Sharine. Instead, he arranged for his people to quietly move into Flynn Apartments, then headed straight to Aria’s room.It had only been a short while since he’d last seen her, yet he already missed her terribly.Inside, Aria was watering the flowers. Ever since she’d once complained that the room felt too dull, the number of potted plants had steadily multiplied. Kane always brought in different varieties, and every so often he’d have the staff swap them out for fresh ones.Fanny had even mentioned to her that Kane was building a glasshouse in the backyard of their estate, so all the flowers rotated out of the hospital room would be moved there and cared for by gardeners.Thinking of that made Aria smile—and at that moment, Kane slipped up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist.“What’s got you smiling like that?” he murmured, resting his chin on her shoulder.“Not telling you,” Aria teased, leaning into him before

  • The Billionaire Regret After My Goodbye   Stomach Pain

Kane handed Mike’s photo to his men, ordering them to track him down as soon as possible. But four days passed with no trace of Mike.Carrying a bag of medicine from the pharmacy, Kane walked toward Everley’s hospital room while speaking on the phone. For safety, whether it was Everley’s prescriptions or Aria’s, Kane or Sharine always picked them up personally before handing them to the nurses.Security had also been tightened—two guards outside each room became four, split into visible and hidden posts. They rotated every twelve hours, and during each shift change, extra men were deployed to ensure nothing went wrong.“So you’re saying Paddy wasn’t alone—there was someone named Ellie with him?” Kane repeated, his brows tightening. “Dig into this Ellie. See if there’s anything suspicious about him.”After instructing the man on the phone to keep an eye on Arthur, Kane hung up and entered Everley’s ward.Sharine was out on an errand, leaving only Aria inside. When she saw him, Aria hur

Cedric waved a slip of paper in his hand. “I had Paddy follow him. This is the hotel he checked into.”Kane took the note, and both Sharine and Aria leaned in to see the address. After a quick glance, Kane stepped outside with his phone.“I finally found my precious little sister, and that idiot wanted me to turn on you two. I swear, I don’t know what’s rattling around in his head,” Cedric said, his tone dripping with mockery.Aria glanced at Sharine and immediately caught the guilty look on her face. She shot Cedric a glare. “How do you even know Mike?”Cedric followed her hint, then answered smoothly, “Met him years ago in business.”For Sharine’s sake, he didn’t say another word about just how stupid Mike really was.Kane came back in. “I’ve already got people watching the hotel.”At that, Sharine hesitated, then said, “Maybe I should meet with him?”“No.” Kane shook his head, then, remembering what Cedric had said earlier, asked her, “Does Mike actually have the ability to pull me

  • The Billionaire Regret After My Goodbye   We’re Just Business Partners

“Cedric, we used to be partners,” Mike said, his expression darkening. From his tone, he was only a breath away from saying I thought we were friends.Cedric let out a sharp laugh. “We worked together once, and you think that makes us friends?”His words were blunt, cutting straight through Mike’s little delusion while mocking him at the same time.“Isn’t it?” Mike shot back, too lazy to pretend anymore, so he shamelessly pushed.Back when they’d worked together, Mike had been arrogant, his eyes always carrying that superior look of disdain. Cedric knew where it came from—Mike’s father was a corporate giant, powerful and loaded with resources. In a world where family background meant everything, Mike was born lucky. Being arrogant made sense. But stupidity? That was unforgivable.Cedric didn’t mind arrogance, but there had to be limits. Mike had no real ability, yet he went around provoking people stronger than him. That was just asking for disaster.Their previous collaboration had b
