“You two are being very secretive over there,” Keaton said, walking closer. “Especially given there's no bid here from Carl. Think it might be time for a little attention to come my way again.”

“I assume you have no objection, Auralia?” Carl asked, holding his finger over a bright green bid button just visible from where I stood.
