Chapter Fifteen: Mothers

Helena's POV

"She's just being dramatic." I laughed off whatever little concern I have for my mother's dramatic nature. She's making it seem like I'll be stoned for being pregnant without a husband. If only she knew that I'm married. My baby won't be a bastard because he or she will have a father.

Deep down, I'm troubled. Alexander didn't come to me that night my mother passed out. I was up all night waiting for him. He's a man of his word and he's not likely to cancel something he wants to do. "Once the shock sinks in she will get over it."
