Chapter Three: Runaways
Marianna's POV
Preparations have been on going all week and today is the day. The day has come. There is excitement in the air! Giovanni Balotelli's only child is getting engaged to a wealthy man. I can't express the excitement a bride to be should feel This excitement that everyone around me is feeling, hasn't rubbed off on me. In it's place, anxiety. I feel plenty of that and my heart is heavy. Court is supposed to come for me tonight. She says she has a plan but when did Court ever have a plan? Often she wings it and it mostly ends badly. She's the kind to plan at that moment when something needs to be done. I can't believe my freedom rests in her hands!I stayed by the window of my bedroom in the red dress watching out for some sort of a sign. Where is she? Did she change her mind? I hope not!
"Marianna, stop trying to figure out an escape plan. You're not getting away from this."

Unfortunately, I was stuck between them as they argued with each other while yanking at the blanket. It kept moving from left to right. At some point their argument became a lullaby and I fell asleep.Frank did warn me that Chris doesn't live like we are used to. His adventurous ways move him to live in tents and things like that. We are camping in the woods. Yes, the woods. He took us hiking. It was fun though Court wanted to push him off a cliff. If I didn't hold her back she would have. All that was because he told her she has a cute butt. It's a complement! He noticed and she threw a tantrum about it. We only settled in this camp site yesterday at noon. Now they are fighting over who will make breakfast. Chris caught two fish but Court wanted three so that everyone can eat a whole one.
