Chapter 26: Pay

To say she was shocked was understatement. It was not even that because she was actually terrified.

“What are you saying, Hendrix? Didn't you already sign the divorce paper? Your mother already filed that with me,” said the old woman.

Margaux got frozen upon hearing that. She didn't know whether to laugh or to cry as she felt her body suddenly turn numb.

“What?” Hendrix hissed in disbelief.

Roxanne's mother smiled gently at him, “I was with her when she filed it. She said you asked her to do it since you were to busy with the company”

Before Hendrix could react, someone had already pulled her back inside the suite. Everything was so fast that she felt dizzy and disoriented.

“I knew he's up to no good,” Daisy commented.

“C'mon, move there and treat my wound!” Cali whined as he nudged her.

Margaux blinked several times before finally realizing she was back inside the suite. She quickly went to the bathroom and took the first aid kit.
