Chapter 30 – Legal Visit

Melissa simply smiled at him and shrugged. It was a silly thing. Most likely, only a naïve person like her would wish for it.

They enjoyed the food and the cake. When they were done, she quickly picked a few balloons and pricked them with a needle. Oh, boy. The look of irritation on his face is priceless. Bursting them produced very loud sounds. Given how he’s used to a quiet working environment, she’s really testing his patience. He warned her with a glare before leaving with a shake of his head.

She grinned, nonetheless. His reaction was good enough. She took a couple of balloons to bring on his study.

When he faced her and noticed her suspicious movements, he warned, “I swear if you burst those balloons here, I’m not giving you your gift.”

She was grinning in mischief and took a while to process his words. Her eyes widened, “Oh, you have a gift for me?”

She suddenly became excited and threw the ball
