CHAPTER 69

Antonio's POV

I groan and stir in my sleep as I feel a throbbing in my head. With my eyes still closed, I turn around on the bed until I am laying on my stomach with my head burrowed in the pillow.

Just then, a knock comes to the door, making me sit upright wondering if it was the knock that woke me up or if I woke up on my own.

Groaning once more because of the ache in my head, I rest my head on the headboard.

The knock comes again and I say in a low tone. "Come in."

I took a lot of alcohol last night which is why I am feeling this throbbing in my head. I almost slept off on the bar counter but I had to drag myself to my room when I was uncomfortable sleeping there with my head on the counter.

I feel miserable. Drinking didn't help at all. It added to my grief.

I'm just wondering why everyone I trust seems to betray me. What Amelia did hurt me a lot and I am having a feeling that she is working for Xavier.
